District for running a small school in one of our adopted

We organize How to S. O. S. Workshop on First Sundays of every three months at various Residential colonies. The topics covered by the First-Aid workshop are approaching & handling dogs/body language, how to examine a dog, handling emergencies (Poisoning, Bleeding, Burns , Diarrhoea,Vomiting, Fits, Injury etc), homeopathy for dogs, information on majordiseases, (Rabies, Distemper, Parvovirus etc) and basic first-aid i.etreatment of wounds/skin disease etc. The workshop is always conducted by vets, a homeopath and HOPE & Animal personnel’s. The workshops are interactive with demonstrations wherever appropriate. There are demonstrations on how to muzzle a dog, taking temperature & pulse rate, checking the hydration and gums, treating a wound and skin problem cases. A dog lover feels helpless when a stray dog needs medical aid and throughthis work-shop, a trained volunteer or dog lover can start treatment evenbefore a vet or NGO arrives. The lives of many stray dogs can be saved ifthey get help before their problem becomes serious - since stray dogs haveless access to medical help than pets. The workshops are free and open to all dog lovers, members of HOPE & Animal,first-aid volunteers. Interested people can call for organizing such workshops in your area- Adopt a street dog ! They are a breed apart!

Street Dog feeding and sterilization programme in various
residential colonies in the district.
Encourage students to help the street dogs by feeding left
over food from their own houses. We further involve
residents of different colonies to join and help to give
better life to the street dogs. The Association of
Residential Colonies supports us with the little money
required for stray dogs’ sterilization activity. |
