Freedom

You call this a free day?
So what is freedom?
Is it crammed with things you 'think' you must do,
Things that would cease if it were not for you?
Visits, shopping, and bills to pay;
Can't they all wait for another day?
Have you ever watched the snow at play
Or a speck of dust floating away?
Could you stare at an acorn for only one day
To see if an oak might be on it's way?
Do you ever give your mind a rest
I wonder if it could take the test?
In the test of time left on your hands
Would you have to rush off to play in the band?
