Questions for Kid Punk Violent. Deranged. Psychotic. These are just a few words that one would use to describe Kid Punk. The CWF Superstar from Orange Country has in past weeks proven himself to be all of these things, both in and out of the squared circle. His attitude could prove to be his making… or his undoing… Little is known about Kid Punk. We know for certain that he is from Orange County, and we know that his childhood was far from a happy one. When asked for more detail about his personal life, Kid Punk seems reluctant to talk, adding more intrigue to his persona. "What do you want to know about me?" he says, "I'm Kid Punk. I'm the Renegade of Punk! Do you want my birth date or something?" There is a lot of controversy surrounding his entrance into the CWF. Rumours have been circulating that he had just checked out of a detox clinic when he was offered a renewal on his contract with the CWF. When asked if this rumour was true, again the question was met with hostility: "That could be said...but it's none of your business! What does my personal life have to do with this damn interview?" In more current events, Kid Punk has been involved in a bitter feud with the CWF's resident superhero, the Blue Flash. From the start, these two men have despised each, and recently the Blue Flash has named Kid Punk as his ultimate nemesis. It seems that this feud could be going on for a long time yet. "I just plan on kicking his ass until his little antics are over." Kid Punk says very matter-of-factly when I asked him if there would ever be a possibility of a reprieve between him and the Blue Flash. "I can tell you one thing; Flash is an arrogant little freak that runs around in a cape pretending to be a superhero. That makes me angry, and that's why I want to hurt him." We seem to know the intimate details of Kid Punk's dislike for the Blue Flash, but what of the other wrestlers on the roster? His feelings are pretty clear on that subject: "With the exception of Deftonial, they all suck! I can't wait until I get my hands on this candy ass roster!" His alliance with Deftonial, another returning CWF star, to form the team 'Natural Born Thrillaz' has already started to turn heads on the roster. Separately these guys are maniacs, but when they're together, oh boy! A nuclear explosion ain't got nothing on these two! "Everybody that forgot about us, will pay dearly. Let it be known that those wrestlers amnesia will be recovered shortly." When asked if he had any title aspirations, Kid Punk just leant back in his chair and told me: "Right now, maybe. I don't know. I'll have to think about it." The future is generally unpredictable for the Renegade of Punk. It's seems fitting that this be true for such an unpredictable entity. Whatever happens, you can be sure that if Kid Punk is involved it will be anything but subtle.
Each month, "Makin’ History" will look at one of the CWF matches regarded as among the greatest or most important in the company’s history. This month, we start with unquestionably the most significant match in recent times in the CWF; the ten-man elimination match pitting the CWF’s finest against the best of the renegade federation CCW.
Soiree Series 2001 – CWF vs CCW Elimination Match For months Andrew McMartyn’s upstart company CCW had been attempting to put the CWF out of business. Andrew had lured numerous federation superstars over to his group, most notably the disillusioned CWF Champion Stone Cold Andy Morgan. Father and son agreed that the all-consuming battle had to end somewhere; and the 2001 Soiree Series event was chosen. Both would lead their respective teams into battle, each comprising four of the best stars the two companies could muster. The winning team would decide the last federation starting. The air in the arena was electric, turning up the tempo on a chilly November evening as the superstars made their way down to the ring. Phil ‘The Man’ Leach and Stone Cold Andy Morgan fittingly started the match off, but soon all members of the teams got involved. It looked like Andrew McMartyn’s time in the match was about to end when Ciaryboy set him up for a Chokeslam, but the members of Team CCW came to the owners’ aid, each one hitting their finishing move on the monstrous competitor but Lizzy The Lizard scored the pinfall! Tyrone was the first be eliminated by Team CWF, after missing a huge charge and crashing into the turnbuckle he was finished off courtesy of Arranboy’s Caber Toss. The battle raged on buy the CCW was to soon lose another member as Dan Jones locked on the Sharpshooter to eliminate Lizzy The Lizard. Mr McMartyn’s team scored the hat-trick when Phil Leach’s Pimp Drop put John The Ghost away for the night. In a matter of minutes the CCW had lost three wrestlers! The CWF was now 4-2 up, and things seemed fragile as Andrew McMartyn and Stone Cold Andy Morgan were left to try and co-exist. Despite their differences of recent weeks the duo mounted an effective offence, Andrew nailing Arranboy with The Final Solution to eliminate the CWF veteran, and then rolling Dan Jones up for the three-count as Dan looked to lock on the Sharpshooter! Both teams were now even at 2-2, with Phil Leach and Mr McMartyn left to face Andy Morgan and Andrew McMartyn. Phil quickly took control, dealing with both CCW superstars adeptly and looking to finish off Stone Cold Andy Morgan once and for all. Dan Jones returned to the ring however, and the jealous superstar showed his true colours by attacking his own team-mate and drilling him with the Darkness Falls! Arranboy hit the ring and drove off the selfish saboteur, but Phil Leach was now easy pickings for Stone Cold Andy Morgan, who finished him off with a Stunner for the 1-2-3. An understandably apprehensive Mr McMartyn was left to deal with two experienced competitors, but luck was on his side as Andy Morgan missed the CWF Chairman with a chair-shot and nailed his partner instead! McMartyn took it to his long-time nemesis Andy Morgan as the crowd cheered him on, but the CWF Champion was too much for him, fighting back and beating the last remaining team member to a bloody pulp. Phil Leach rushed to the ring however, and saved the day, planting Stone Cold Andy Morgan with a Pimp Drop which allowed Clive McMartyn to score the pin! Father and son were left to duke it out for ultimate control, with the tenacious CWF Chairman putting up a real fight against his ungrateful offspring. Two generations of the McMartyn family battled all over the arena and finally back to the ring, only for a raging Stone Cold Andy Morgan to return to the ring and dropped both the CWF Chairman and his CCW boss with Stunners! Andy Morgan promptly vacated the arena, leaving the knocked out combatants to come to. Mr McMartyn slowly crawled across the ring and pinned his son for the three count! Team CWF had survived and won the match, putting Andrew McMartyn and his CCW out of business forever! All the superstars of the CWF hit the ring and the celebrations begun, with McMartyn’s team-mates each congratulating him on picking up the win against all odds. The only exception to the victory festivities was Dan Jones, who stood solitarily at the top of the entrance ramp, watching Phil Leach with an icy expression. His treachery could not mar the celebrations however, as Mr McMartyn and his company rejoiced at finally putting their competition out of business. The stakes were the highest they had ever been, and the CWF had come through and triumphed! The elimination match at last years Soiree Series will be an event remembered for a long time to come!
The Blue Flash’s Potential Hero and Villain. Greetings citizens of the CWF! This week brings the first return issue of the CWF magazine. And your favourite superhero has managed to purchase a column. In this column I want to share with you my thoughts on who has the potential to become a hero and who has the potential to become a super villain. The potential Hero for this month is Acid Yes the newest CWF Co owner has reached the status of potential super heroine. Why? This woman being only 22 stood up to the will of the McMartyn men. She forbade Andrew his chance at being crowded CWF champion and as for Clive? This woman has great things a head of her in the superhero department… Potential Super Heroine name ... The Human Acid Beaker.
The potential Villain for this month is Emma! Not only have I had to prevent this ...woman... from performing her evil deeds on Dan Jones but also she causes every CWF superstar to run in fear. I foresee this evil incarnation becoming the biggest terror to walk the halls of CWF and I have seen some scary things in my time as a superhero. If I were you, I would avoid this evil beast at all costs. Potential Super Villain name ... The Evil Microphone Maniac I hope that this column has opened your eyes as to whom you should trust and not trust. BLUE FLASH AWAY...
Hi! Golden Snitch here with the latest dirt from backstage! -- Clive McMartyn is anything but happy about Phil Leach becoming the CWF Champion! What dastardly plans does the prez have for the CWF Champion? -- What's with Kyle Reece? What's he got against Dan Jones? Those two guys hardly know each other and have never been in the ring together as opponents or allies. What is behind this dislike, which now seems to be mutual? I have two theories on what this is all about... 1) jealously and 2) the company that Dan Jones keeps... -- Has Faith, the new CWF Women's Champion, lost it? The diva seems to think that she's some sort of vampire slayer, but vampires don't exist! I mean, the other day she nearly stabbed a complete stranger with a wooden stake! -- Why doesn't anybody like Emma? I mean, she's a nice enough girl... if you look past the annoying traits of of her personality. She has a good side... I think! -- What will happen to Stephanie- the last remaining member of X-FORCE- now that that Acid has sacked all three of her male counterparts? Will Acid sack the 'Million Dollar Princess' or give her a chance to redeem herself? -- Who is the mysterious Masked Attacker? That's a stupid question really, isn't it? It's like asking who why the sky is blue! Anyway, this guy really seems to have it in for Hardcore Hammond. You'd think that with a name such as the Masked Attacker that he would at least be an arch enemy for the Blue Flash? -- What's Felicia got against Acid? The diva has had a pretty strong opinion about the VP recently, and that could have become especially vindictive following the CWF Women's title match at Whiplash. I predict nasty goings-on there... -- Streetboy, the CWF's newest signing, certainly made his presence felt at Whiplash and certainly to Kid Punk. I think I should warn you, Streetboy, that Kid Punk is probably the most unstable character in this federation and his friend, Deftonial, isn't far behind him in that department! That's it from me for this month! - The Golden Snitch
