Roughly 90,000 people braved the elements …." - MTV News, July 2nd, 1997. There was also a notable dust-up between Ian McCulloch and the festival's promoter.

I was a little bemused (although I should have known better realising Mac's heart) to find, next to the merchandise stall, some Liverpool dockers flogging t-shirts in support of their cause (docks closures and the prospect of long-term unemployment etc). During the concert, Mac urged us to support the dockers by buying their stuff." - Seven Seas email list post, June 9th, 2000

Finally I saw the trademark haircut come walking thru the theater doors. No one was around. I proceeded to walk across the street and called to Ian. It was as though they had not been gone for a decade. It was the most impressive return of a band I had ever seen. The hauntingly shadowed stage of smoke, netting and dramatic lights all brought back the past. Ian, Will, and Les as colossal silhouettes jamming out very early classic Bunnymen songs from their Liverpool beginnings, like 'Crocodiles', 'Rescue' and 'Show of Strength' proved that the rebirth songs like 'Evergreen' and 'I'll Fly Tonight' promised more to come." - Danny Murphy, earpollution.com, October 20th, 1999 “No ‘Bedbugs and Ballyhoo’” -- email to The Bunnymen Concert Log

I took as my starting point Steve Doughty's excellent and comprehensive Bunnymen Recordings site, and have filled in gaps using the Seven Seas Archive (which went back to January 1st, 1999 at the time I copied it all into text files), as well as the various other web pages and articles cited in my listings. This is still very much a work in progress. I have received a good deal of help from members of the Seven Seas and Bunnymen.com communities -- thank you all!
