The Royal Drummers of Burundi joined the Bunnymen on "All My Colours (Zimbo)". Two songs from this performance, "All My Colours (Zimbo)" and "The Cutter" appeared on the 1984 benefit album WOMAD: RAINDROPS PATTERING ON BANANA LEAVES. "… it was all this 'world music' vibe. Which was OK, but we were total rock 'n' roll, and no one else did anything like collaborating with a different culture. Certainly not Simple Minds. We asked the Burundis to do it 'cause we'd seen them in some field playing and they were fantastic. It was mad. They didn't speak English, and their interpreter only spoke French. Pete kind of led them through it. It was Echo and the Burundimen. It was fantastic with 'em all onstage." - Ian McCulloch, CRYSTAL DAYS commentaries, 2001

I took as my starting point Steve Doughty's excellent and comprehensive Bunnymen Recordings site, and have filled in gaps using the Seven Seas Archive (which went back to January 1st, 1999 at the time I copied it all into text files), as well as the various other web pages and articles cited in my listings. This is still very much a work in progress. I have received a good deal of help from members of the Seven Seas and Bunnymen.com communities -- thank you all!
