OK, I'm going back into reverse order like I should be. Sorry about the confusion. I just felt like the dogs were more important.

I'm now feeling for Drex tenfold. For some odd reason I took a fall at the flea market. I don't think I've even been to the flea market since Craig was a year old, and on the way out   I   just  fell.   Talk about feeling like a dumb-ass. Now I'm no stranger to road-rash having, flown off the back of a motorcycle doing 100 mph, but like labor, the memory of the feeling fades over time. But my knee has brought it vividly back, and I now hurt for Drex sooo much more. Every time he spreads his legs and gives me that look, I want to go growl at the neighbors too. Granted, he was barking at their car and most likely stood right in front of it, but can you say OUCH!!! David has renamed him "Skintdick". All four dogs have jumped on the band wagon and let the neighbor know they don't appreciate him now.

So far none of the jobs have come through for David and Josh hasn't bothered looking. Big surprise, huh?

I got the results of the MRI on my neck. Thinning around the C5 nerve. Whatever. They would most likely find a lot more of that farther down my spine, but our health insurance ran out Friday so we can't do anything about it anyway. And on that note I will drop the subject before my depression kicks in.

Oh alright, one more thing. We're getting screwed on the Explorer. They don't want to pay what we owe on the loan. So we will most likely be left with no car and and upside down loan to pay. We're still fighting it. After all, the accident wasn't even Josh's fault!!! And we don't have the rental car anymore either. Bummer. It was a 2004 Dodge Stratus. I enjoyed driving it although I wouldn't recommend buying one. It handled fantastic but it picked up every single bit of road noise possible.

But anyway, the only reason I started updating this today was because I have been reworking the page with the pictures of the house like I said I would. It's much easier to navigate now. I have added some new pics of this room (computer-crafts room) and will be adding/deleting pics from the other pages in the coming days, well... you know... if I remember. You know my mind. I think that's it. Now if I don't get Craig up he will be late for school.
later

uh
I just put the "duh" in Rhon-duh again, didn't I?
Here's the link for the house pics.

Drex is home!
To Drex's Page
He was hit by a car the other day and disappeared.
I've really been worried about him. I know that getting attached to these strays isn't a good idea, but he's just so lovable and he thinks I'm mom.
And he's just a puppy.
His leg is so swollen that he can't sit, and you can tell by the way that he is skinned up that he got rolled, but it looks like he will be fine, thank God. I love this little guy. He's a male Mo-Mo. And any of our Waco friends that have known us for years will instantly see the resemblance between him and Shawna. Not so much from this picture as in person. For the rest of you, Shawna was our last dog. We had her before we moved to Ohio in 1986. Someone shot her point blank between the eyes. Oh hey, that picture up there of Drex... that's also a link if you feel like clicking on it. It never hurts to mouse around on my pages, you never know when something might be a link :)

And speaking of getting hit by cars
To Blue's Page Blue... the dog formerly
known as Spotty...
has been hit twice
since he's been here.
To Jason's Page Jason has only
been hit once.

To Kit's Page
The last time I saw Kit she was running toward the field with the three male dogs chasing her, and her kitten was still under Cliff's house. That was weeks ago. She was skin and bones at the time, and the kitten was still nursing.

These are the lucky animals because they were abandoned near our house. But they still get hit by cars, and they still have times when they have to find their own meals because reality is that we are living on unemployment right now, and we are going to feed our dog first. And these animals haven't been vaccinated. We would like to take care of that, but again, we are living on unemployment, and they get hit by cars.
This is one reality
of what happens when people drop animals off in the country. We name them because we choose to. We like knowing who is who, having something to call them. Cliff generally doesn't name them. He's lived on this property for years and years and has seen a lot of them come and go though.

We had Mo-Mo spayed last week. It was nice to see the Animal Birth Control Clinic doing such a brisk business, but it's still not enough. It's a shame that so many people consider it cruel to spay & neuter their animals. I'm hoping that we can eventually come up with the funds to neuter the males around here, if they stay alive long enough. They never seem to leave the property though, so at the moment it doesn't seem to be very urgent since Mo is the resident female. Now watch, someone will drop off a female just because I said that.

David may be moving to Georgia or Missouri for a year to work.
Stay tuned for updates on that one....

David's mom made us an American flag quilt that is way cool, and I hung it above the computer. It inspired me to start scanning and printing out some of the scenic pics that we've taken over the years to add to the wall next it. This really is a beautiful country. I'm about halfway finished, but this is what it looks like so far...

All of the photos will eventually be available as page-sets at
Rhonda's Originals. Two of them are available now. As for the rest of this room, I will be adding pictures of it to the house page this week.

I haven't quite gotten to that new house link yet, but here are a couple of pics from the homecoming parade last night. And in case I haven't mentioned it yet, and I know I haven't, Connally's team is kicking some major ass this year! At this rate they might even win the homecoming game...

Sometimes I am sooo tacky.

Why not go all the way, huh? Now that Drex's swelling is subsiding and all of the road-rash is visible. Well, the poor little guy was obviously rolled by the car. Right across his hind legs and shall we say, his manhood? He's a trooper though, although he does occasionally lay there and lift his leg then give you a look that says "this hurts". My poor baby boy. We were about 99% sure that it was our new neighbor that hit him, and now we are about 110% sure. Drex walks around the corner of the patio and growls at their car every few minutes. I think that car is in deep trouble when he's healed. LOL His little pit-bull temper will probably corrode the hell out of their rims!
