You have to wonder... just how big a variety of spiders ARE there? LOL I'm sure they will eventually figure out that people are now living in this house. But I have no appreciation for the one that bit me on the toe the Sunday morning when I first woke up.

The house is coming along nicely, but slowly. Since I never really had a chance to properly recover from surgery and have been fighting this long standing respiratory infection, I've decided to not knock myself out with unpacking.
I'll add new pictures if I can.
I breathe much better here than I did in the other house, now that the a/c is working. Whatever I was allergic to in the other house isn't in this one :)

Clifford said he had to call animal control a couple of days ago because of a raccoon with distemper that was hanging out just outside our bedroom.
I had no idea it was even there.
I don't think they took it since we are outside the city, just identified it as not being rabid. Mo's current on her shots.

Pete went missing just before we moved in.
Pete
I really miss him. He's such a sweetheart. He would come up and head butt you on the leg until you'd love on him. LOL Him and Mo were two of kind.
I hope he's alive and happy.

At our old house we saw so many things from our yard over the years that I've often thought of putting a page together called "From Our Front Porch". I figured those days were over once we moved since the only thing that we would probably see here would be planes landing and the biggest deal would be the president coming in, or if there was another breaking news story that involved the need for this runway. But we have been pleasantly surprised twice now. The race track in Elm Mott had their annual July 4th firework show and we were able to see them from our driveway even though they are a few miles away. This is the first time in several years that we didn't spend the 4th on the river so that was a real treat. Then this past weekend we were surprised again when the race track in Bellmead did their firework display. We were able to see it much better, our own private show framed by the french doors upstairs. That was pretty cool. Even with Mo's barking :)

I still haven't gotten together with anyone's internet yet to upload this. I really need to work on that before July is gone and I will have wasted the backgrounds that I made. :)

The house is coming along great now, it's feeling very much like home. We're still not finished unpacking though. I have quite a few boxes left in our room and Craig has all of his left to unpack since he has been out of town for the past couple of weeks. At the moment the computer is set up in our bedroom since we haven't even started to work in the room where it will be set up in the end. If you go to the house page you will see the changes, not just in photos but in the floor plan drawing.

Like I said, Craig had been out of town, at his friend J.P.'s house, like he normally is this time of year. They went on their annual trip to Hurricane Harbor for J.P.'s birthday, and Craiger is burnt to a crisp . . .

David has been busy building a laundry room/half bath. He had to tear out a wall, but since it was a support wall he put a steel I-beam up to support the apartment above. Well, with help from Richard. He'll be ready to pour concrete Friday.

Whether or not you agree with his politics, it's still hard to explain how it feels to see Air Force One just outside your window. It's like, we're firing off the BBQ and notice that Air Force One is taking off again.
Freaky.
