TammyYou see Matt all over Ludlow's Place, from the photos albums to the e-cards. Yes, Matt is the one dropping greetings, he was floating on a heart for Valentine's Day, and he's the pipe smoking leprachaun featured in the St. Patrick's Day e-card. He's "Super-Bubble-Wrap-Man". He's the other guy with fairy wings. If you don't know what I'm talking about then you haven't been to our photo pages, have you? He's the guy in the plastic wrap. He's the driver of the Mustang. Matt's the one with the bushy red hair, the short blonde hair, the long blonde hair, the spiked blonde hair, the black hair, the braided hair... The piercings, the lack of piercings. The photos have changed over the years.

He's also the son of the lady to the left.

EVERYONE LOOK AT TAMMIE!

So. . .        Do dogs laugh?        Are they ticklish?        I think I know the answers.
You know how when you scratch a dog in a certain place it will get it's back leg to kicking? Almost anyplace you touch Mo-Mo gets her leg to kicking. Some places make both legs go. You don't even have to scratch her, you can tap her or gently poke her. Especially around the ribs and "armpits". Sometimes she will even throw her head back, mouth wide open and eyes rolling back like she's laughing while swatting at you with her front paw.
Yes, I think that dogs are ticklish and that they laugh.
I think we humans have been mis-reading that reaction for years.

Another year's gone by. Yeah, it's the anniversary of my mom's death again. You'd think I would handle it better, and some year's I do, but this wasn't one of them. I wasn't even able to go see my dad today because during the times that I was awake I was crying. I hate that I was reacting this way this year.
Maybe because I've been sick? Or maybe it's because 2003 has just been an all around stressful year so far?

I was extremely depressed yesterday after doing a very small amount of yard work, a 2 ft. area of yard . . . not even 2 ft. squared either, just a little piece that needed weeding. I sat on the ground to do do the work and ended up with a 30 minute coughing fit for my effort. And I somehow have to get this house and yard in "ready to sell" condition by the end of May.

So enough whining.

Today is Danny's birthday.
Danny is David's older brother, the one that lives here in Waco.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANNY!

I've added a new page, Ludlow's Place Lite, because we spent too many year's using dial-up and I'm aware of how slow my page loads. Just because I enjoy making graphics doesn't mean everyone else enjoys waiting on them to load :-) I have also added 2 new e-cards, these feature Matt & JJ. That's about it for now. I'm off to work on the long awaited page about my dad, and to update Mo-mo's page.

If you're reading this you are probably aware that I've finally launched my ecard site, E-cards by Ludlow. They may not be great, but they do express my personality, and Aubrey's too since she designed the one featuring Josh and helped to design the one featuring her.

I've been tweaking the pages again, attempting to update the content. So far all I have updated is Dave's Fishin' Hole because let's face it, graphics are more fun to mess with than content. You'll generally find new photos before you'll find new content, but I'm working on it. I've added a lot of photos to the genealogy pages and plan to work on that site more soon too, now that we have a scanner. I've been hit with that urge to design page sets, so look for new stuff to turn up at Rhonda's Originals soon. I stole an idea from Tee and several others and made some banners along with a Link To Us page.

There's a couple of new links on our main page, right hand menu in the writings section. The first one goes to Aubrey's poetry, which you need to read if you've never been there. The other link goes to a page for a cyber wrestler for The SHOOT Project named Ben Jackman (aka Jon). This is a couple of years into his story but I enjoy keeping up with Jackman's exploits and thought other people might too. Well actually, he's very popular and lot's of people keep up with him, but I thought I'd introduce him to some new people.

Oh, and Shadow is back with us for the next week. Mo-mo thinks she is a chew toy. Shadow is good natured but we still have to keep an eye out because she does have a breaking point. No doubt pictures will be coming ;)

And let's not forget....
The same to Rosie....(tomorrow)

And to one of my other best friends, Tee, thank you very much for the birthday Mona. She makes me feel like I've had a party!

It wasn't that long ago that we were experiencing this same type of disaster with a space shuttle. At least to me it wasn't that long ago. I was in Austin at the time to help out my friend Pam. Her (then) husband was having knee surgery and I was there because we both had young kids. It's funny the things that stand out in your mind. We were curious about pieces of paper that were floating in the air. Just little pieces of paper that had no explanation. And my youngest son, Scott, bit into a package of Taco Bell hot sauce while we were eating lunch, and loved it. His high chair was pushed up to the table and he reached out and grabbed the package, put it in his mouth and chomped on down before I could get it away from him. I thought he would cry, but nooo, he wanted another one!

I wonder what odd little memories will pop up 17 years from now? Perhaps that this is when Scott coincidentally told us that he had decided he wasn't going to college in Nacogdoches? (He has been trying to decide between Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches or TSTC here in Waco.) Or maybe that the Waco FD had scheduled burnings of a couple of condemned houses at around the same time as the explosion, so no one knew if the fires around town were connected to the space shuttle or not? Hmmm . . .
