March 2003

February was too full so I decided to start off March with the last day of February.
I just found out this morning that my uncle Wes died last month, on January 9th. Because of changing our phone number and then not
sending out Christmas cards this past Christmas, which means that people without email didn't know that our number had been changed, my aunt wasn't able to contact us.
My other aunt didn't know that I didn't know, and because of server problems, we've been having email troubles, which leaves one other option for finding out,
and. . . I'm not even going to go there. I do wish I had known in time to send flowers.
In keeping with the no news in good news. . . Oh wait. That saying is
supposed to have a different meaning. Maybe I meant none of my news is good news? My anemia keeps getting worse and they still haven't found the cause yet. I'm getting
pretty tired of being scoped and scanned and poked and prodded. I go in for an ultrasound on the 3rd and then depending on the results, on to a hematologist. I also had my regular check-up with the neurologist
yesterday and since I'm having some neuropathy in my feet and legs, we are waiting for blood test results to see if the cause will show up there or if he will need to start testing nerves. But hey! It's been 3 weeks without
a respiratory infection. Whoo-hoo!!!
I think I did a pretty good job on these backgrounds. What do you think? I'm working on some new stuff for Rhonda's Originals and will also be adding some art links to my pages, along with
hopefully, some art. But that may have to wait a couple of months. We'll see. People in the know know what I mean. The rest will read about it later.

In keeping with the theme of no good news, the 1st Calvary Division got their deployment orders ysterday and will deploy on a moments notice. My best friend Donna's
oldest son is a member of that division. He's very well trained for this, but that doesn't make it any easier. Our prayers go with all of the soldiers, but especially with this boy that we've known since he was in diapers as well as
his wife and daughter.

And speaking of Dustin and Julie, they came by last weekend to drink a beer. It was great to get to see him before he's deployed.
Finally, some good news. Looks like I may be having a hysterectomy. It's tentativly set for April 14th, as long as the insurance approves and all of the
other doctors give the go-ahead for me to have the surgery. I don't see where it would be a problem with the other doctors, I've had so many surgeries and/or surgical procedures in the past two years that I can't even keep track anymore. So
far I've survived them. *grin* Alright, so I may have just jinxed myself by saying that, and if I did.... well, my family could sure use the life insurance money. Enough being a smart-ass. The extremely cool part is that Tee will be coming
to play nursemaid !!! Or at least to keep me company while I recover. See the thing is, even though we've been like sisters for a couple-two-three years now, and we talk on the phone and email and chat and all, we've never actually met. So
it will be great. (Except for that whole pain when I laugh thing.) Plus, we can post pictures of us on our sites, and I'll have a good excuse for looking awful. BONUS! And she can smack the shit outta my boys and teach them right
from wrong while she's here since their own mama never did. Wait a minute......
Oh btw, look for a link to Scott's band "Next In Line", or at least pictures of them, in the next day or two.
* I updated the links at the bottom of the page * Thanks for pointing out the need Scott

Here are couple of pictures taken with the digital camera last night. I'm sure the pictures Aubs took with her 35mm will come out better, I'll post them when I can.

Scott went to Common Grounds last night to see Andy play. He took the digital camera along but like always the pictures came out dark and grainy. Something about stage lights causes some wicked red-eye too. I didn't think to ask if Jenner was there. She's done a beautiful job on the photos for his album and website, www.andy-stewart.net. I'll play around with what we have though and see if I can pretty them up :) (Still wish we had some pics from when Next In Line played there ....) Oh, and speaking of Andy, be sure to check out Aubrey's St. Paddy's Day pics!
I just finished adding a new starting graphic to the splash page of Ludlow's Place. I'm in the mood to play with layers today, which makes it a good day to dress up Matt again. Meaning I'm off to make some Easter e-cards.
