I appreciate your interest in "The Courtyard". My name is Erica Davis, and I have set up this site with the hope that new writers will find some of the resources they need through this page.
I have a B.A. in Literature and Writing from Cal State San Marcos and am looking forward to beginning my graduate work shortly. As far as writing experience, I've dabbled a little! From articles and essays to short stories and scripts, I've written a little bit of everything. My three plays won three awards and were produced both in San Diego and in L.A. I've worked as an editor for numerous websites and have written a multitude of articles published elsewhere.
Although it has been a while since I picked up a pen to sit down and write something creatively, I've found a new passion in essay writing. This website was started while I was still working my way around as a writer and in time has become a wonderful pet project that I am always aamazed that others find helpful! But, that was my goal after all, for it to be helpful.
