Sunny and hot in the daytime, cool wind at night.
A pretty good day today. I went to bed a bit late last night. I was sitting up reading Nanny McPhee, one of the stories that the recent movie was based on. It was laugh out loud funny. That's the kind of stuff I would have loved as a kid, I wonder why I didn't read it then? Maybe it wasn't available in the countries that we lived in? Or maybe my mother had never heard of it? I don't know.
This morning, Fumihiko got up early, but hung around the apartment for a while. He took the morning off work, but was planning to go to the doctor. That's actually what he did. He left before 9:00 and I didn't see him again until the evening.
I got up again around 9:00, watched the news and read email. I also put my computer on sleep mode, but when I tried to bring it back it started acting really strange. It wouldn't wake up. I tried a restart, but it stalled. I ended up running the disk utility program and the Single user mode a couple of times. No dice. I tried my expensive program that I bought to fix it, but I'm not sure I got it to work properly. My Japanese is sketchy at best in these circumstances. Anyway, it wasn't working so I shut my computer down.
While it was down I did a bit of housework. Amazing but true! I vacuumed the hall and cleaned the toilet. I even swept the kitchen. It was in sore need of it.
After my lunch I was planning to leave for my school when I decided to try starting up my computer while I did dishes. I thought that I'd be here, plus I'd be forced to let my computer work through it's little hissy fit by itself. Anyway, it worked! My computer started and everything seems fine. Maybe it just needed to take a nap?
I did a little bit of stuff on my computer, then went out. First I hit the post office to mail a couple of things, then I went to my school. When I got there I set to work right away. I planned lessons for tomorrow and next week. I still have a bit to do tomorrow, but it shouldn't take long I hope.
My lesson went well again (yay) and after I did a bit of paperwork and then came home. I had a nice ride home. When I got home, I met up with my hubby. After checking to see that my computer still worked, we went out for dinner.
Tonight we went to Cocos. I had their chicken and tomato stew. I really like it, but they don't have enough chicken in it! Still, it is nice. I'm not usually a fan of tomato sauce, but this isn't bad. Fumihiko had curry and rice. I think he had that for breakfast too! What a guy!
We came home, ate some blueberries and homemade yogurt (Fumihiko's recently become a yogurt making fool!) We watched an episode of Ally McBeal on dvd. I'd seen it before, I think it was one that hubby fell asleep on.
And that was that. I have a class tomorrow, a kid's one, and I have to do a bit of prep for tomorrow too, so I'm not sure what's going to happen. Wish me luck! Talk to you then. Night night.
