Hot and muggy, a little rain at night.
Another one of those darn mornings where I just couldn't get myself motivated to get up. At least, I didn't have any early classes, so I didn't have to. It's just so hot and unpleasent in the daytime now that I can't be bothered.
Anyway, when I got up I showered, and did some computer stuff. I also watched some TV. I watched No Mercy, the old Richard Gere movie. I always loved that one. Seen though a bit older eyes, it's not that great, but he isn't bad to look at! And Kim Basinger...gorgeous.
In the afternoon I went to the post office and bought a box. I had to mail presents to Canada for my niece. I'm sending her and her brother Disneyland caps (amongst other things) and they're an odd shape so I couldn't fit things in an envelope. I got the box and then when I packed the box, the post office lady brought some tape over for me. Now, I'd actually brought my own along with me, so that I could seal it, but it was nice of her. Then when I went to the counter, she even loaned me a marker to write on the box with. Very nice! The price to send it wasn't so nice though. Sigh. On the way home, I went via a convenience store and got a couple of sandwiches and stuff to eat. I didn't feel like cooking.
When I got home, I watched the last episode of Cold Case again. They're going to start showing the new shows once a week on Saturday nights. Expect lots of updates!!!
I headed off to my school just after 5. I made one stop, then hit the school. I found my water bill waiting for me. Sigh. I don't think it's fair. It's a flat fee. I don't live there, and I'm not there all the time, yet I have to pay as though I was. Oh well.
I got ready and taught my lesson. Today's class went better than Tuesday's, and we had a good time. The student will be coming to the barbecue on Sunday, so I'll see her again soon.
Fumihiko picked me up and we went to Moku-Moku for dinner. It was quite nice. I had duck, and hubby tried a new for us chicken dish that I'm going to have next time. My duck was only so-so, but the salad was great and they even have drink bar now.
We bought a few groceries afterwards, then came home. We had a pretty quiet evening together. Now, hubby's sitting on the couch reading and I'm blogging. Things are nice. He's drinking some kind of beer...and I'm quaffing jasmine tea. Yum.
And that was my day. It was pretty good. Tomorrow, I really HAVE to get up. I have an early class at the school.
Talk to you tomorrow night? Night.
