Cloudy and then rainy .
Today was okay. I got up later than yesterday, but still at an okay time. I did laundry and watched a TV mini-series about the Impressionist painters. I rather enjoyed it. I have read about some of them, but it was interesting to get an inside view of the artists. I originally planned to do only a couple of loads of laundry, but ended up doing four! Still, it's all done now and I don't have to do any for a few days. Yay me.
I had a snack of a bagel with avocado and wasabi. Yum. That was nice.
In the afternoon I watched some of the TV I had on tape, it was okay. I've been watching Joey, the continuation of Friends and it is terrible! The supporting characters are strange and it isn't even that funny. There's a couple of good characters, but overall, I can see why it didn't make it. It's hard to believe that this has anything to do with Friends.
I went off to the school today after watching Gray's Anatomy, and doing dishes. Of course, it started to rain as soon as I got out of the door! Argh. I stopped at a drug store to get myself more sweeteners, then got to the school as soon as possible.
I got all ready for my class and then taught it. I think we had quite a good one actually. It was a lot of fun. The lesson part went quickly so I gave the student a vocabulary sheet. That was good because we had could talk about the things on the sheet for a while.
After work, I prepared a bit for my first class tomorrow. I had to find a lot of teacher's cards for the class. That's one thing I don't like about this textbook. Fumihiko picked me up and then we went home.
I cooked dinner at home tonight. I made a really delicious chicken stirfry. I tried using some of my Thai Fish sauce that I bought a few months ago and had never used. It was yummy. The stuff doesn't smell very good by itself, but it's nice cooked. I stirfried some chicken thighs with fish sauce, then took it out of the pan. I fried a yellow zucchini and a bag of stirfry veggies, adding more sauce. When the veggies were done I put the chicken back in to warm it up again. I served it with a salad. I thought it was great!
It's been a quiet evening here. I don't really want to talk about it though.
