Sunny and hot, windy and stormy at night.

A pretty good day. I got up early enough to watch Star Trek this morning. It was quite good, The City on the Edge of Forever. Joan Collins was quite pretty in it. Not scary like she was in Dynasty.

After my shower, I dried off, turned on the air conditioner, and then went to the post office. I paid for my FBC order and then went off to a convenience store to get a little something to eat.

I came home and planned to watch Without a Trace on video, but something was wrong with the sound on the cassette. It switched between English and Japanese, and I couldn't get it to just stay in one language. Sigh. So, I gave up and watched a couple of episodes of Heroes instead. I'm really into that show. It is fabulous. I'm enjoying it so much.

After my lunch I headed off to the school. I made a couple of stops along the way. I put some money into my school's account and then took some out of mine! I also went to the drugstore to pick up some things for the apartment.

My school was really hot today, so I had to run the air conditioner. I had a while before my class would start, so I sat down on the floor and did up my account books for the last couple of months. Yay. I'm up to date now.

My class came and my student and I had a good class. After she left, I prepped a bit for tomorrow's classes, did my dishes, and then called Fumihiko to come and get me. I read a bit of my novel and in fact did manage to finish it today. Yay. It was John Dunning's The Bookwoman's Last Fling. It's a novel about books, and horses, and murder. It was good too.

Fumihiko and I went to M's Dining for dinner tonight. We had a good meal and then came home via the grocery store. We were looking for bagels, but didn't find any. Sigh. We got a few things for the apartment, but nothing exciting.

At home we watched the news in English. It was quite funny because at one point Fumihiko repeated the news they'd just announced to me. I was getting us a drink of oolong tea at the time, so I just looked at him and said, "You realize the news is in English, right? I understood it!" I think he thought it was in Japanese. After that he fell asleep and the news degraded into a "Oh no the typhoon is coming!" hysteria completely in Japanese, so I turned off the TV. Yes, I know that typhoons are nothing to joke about, but do we need to watch while JR puts up signs saying the trains are cancelled? No, we do not. Well, I don't anyway. Sorry.

Anyway, Fumihiko toddled off to bed a little later. He's tired, and still can't stand up quite straight. Looking at him walk today, he's all twisted up. His legs point one way and his torso another. It's awful. I really wish that I could get him to really ask his doctor what was wrong with him.

So, that's it for me. I should get off to bed soon. I've got to start getting up earlier or our early morning on Sunday will just about kill me!

Night night.
