Hot and sunny.
Today was a good day. Fumihiko got up late today, but still went to the doctor. I got up after a while and showered, then came back to the living room and watched Medium. Eric Stoltz was the bad guy, and it was an interesting episode.
Fumihiko and I had a quick brunch in Gusto, then he dropped me off at my school. I got busy, and had my first class. It went well, I'm glad to say. My student just picks things up very easily.
I had a long break in the afternoon, so I read a book, and also went out to grab a sandwich. Unfortunately the store didn't have any sandwiches, but I did get some other things to snack on. I came back to my school and got ready for my last class of the day.
My last class went fairly well too. My student is a little shy but she's warming up to me I think. She's very nice. We had a good time and when her class was over I sent her off with her mother.
Fumihiko was watching judo at the Olympics when I called him. One of the Japanese women was up at the time, so I told him to watch the match and then come for me. Sadly, the Japanese judoka didn't win.
We drove out to the mall and had yakiniku in the just opened restaurant. It was good, but a little expensive! After our meal, I asked that we go over to Jusco/Aeon to have a quick look at the ladies clothing. Over there, I saw a few things that I liked the look of and went and tried on 4 different tops. The first two were just not quite right. The first one's sleeves were too short, the second was just too form fitting, the third one was perfect, and the fourth one was okay, but not as good as the second. Of course the one I liked was the most expensive one of the bunch! I ended up buying it anyway. It's black with flowers on it, in one of the flowing peasant styles that is so popular right now. I have a green shirt that is very similar to it that is very comfortable in summer.
After the shirt buying, we headed to the theatre. We decided to go and see Mummy 3. I paid for the popcorn and drinks, Fumihiko got the tickets. We had fun at the movie. I really enjoyed it. It isn't going to win any awards, but it was fun.
We drove back to Tsuruoka and did a quick grocery shopping, then came home. Fumihiko started watching women's volleyball at the Olympics. I don't like volleyball, so I'm not paying much attention. This is the second time he's seen it though! Argh.
We're chilling out at the moment, drinking decaf coffee and eating maple rusks that my student gave me today. Things are good.
Tomorrow night we have the fireworks to go to, but I'm not sure about the rest of the day. Hopefully we'll enjoy ourselves. You get to tune in tomorrow night and find out how everything went, if you want!
Night, night.
