Cloudy and then rainy at night.

An okay day. I got up at 10 something and was too hot. Fumihiko turned on the air conditioner for me and I went back to sleep. It was bliss. However, I overslept and hubby wasn't best pleased when I got up.

We had lunch in Aki, the okonmiyaki place. It was good, but a little too filling for me. I prefer something with less carbohydrates. After lunch we went off to the shoe store. I wanted to see if there was anything I wanted to get for myself. There wasn't. Well, there were a couple of pairs that looked okay, but one wasn't in my size, and another was too tight. We came home after this.

We were a little on edge during the day, so finally Fumihiko put on Kiki's Delivery Service. It was great. He used the version with English voices. It was rather strange to hear Phil Hartman's voice come out of the cat, but it was quite a good story overall. I'd seen it before of course, but it was nice to see it again.

I had a bit of a lie down before getting ready to go out tonight. When I got up I tried curling my hair. It took, but when I combed it through looked almost the same as before! I tried! Fumihiko was going to wear jeans and a casual shirt, but I made him change. We drove off to the hotel and arrived right on time for our reservation.

Tonight's dinner was courtesy of the Daiichi Hotel. We had their buffet dinner and it was quite good. If we reserve it's cheaper than just showing up, so we did that a couple of days ago. We had quite an assortment of foods. There was beef Stroganoff, pasta, smoked salmon, salad, pork roast, chicken wings, and dessert too. It was all quite nice. We ate quite a lot, but enjoyed ourselves. There was a family gathering in another room at the restaurant and the children were really loud.

After dinner we took a box of books to a convenience store to send back to their owner, then did some grocery shopping. I'm going to cook at home tomorrow night. Yay me!

That was most of my day. At home we relaxed and Fumihiko watched some inane TV again. I try to let him have peace when it's not incredibly annoying, but it's so hard for me. I just think that most of Japanese TV is garbage.

Tomorrow, no big plans. I should start packing my clothes, especially since I'm not going to take very many. I have a bit of mending for hubby to do, and I might go out for a walk or something if the weather permits. I hope it does!
