Weiß Kreuz

Here's the Synopsis .

And here is my take on Weiß Kreuz: Glühen , the second season of the series.

Weiß - the good guys.
Fujimiya Aya (Ran) - he's the leader of Weiß, a withdrawn type who took on his younger sister Aya's name when she was in a hit-and-run and put into a coma. Obsessed with revenge? Never! Basically, he's totally put his emotions on the shelf and become a paid assassin so that he can keep up with his sister's hospital bills. His weapon is a katana, a slightly curved Japanese blade with one sharp edge. He seems the most uncomfortable with the high-school girls who come to the flower shop to ogle him and the others.

Kodou Youji - oh yeah, he's a playboy. He is an ex-detective and he just can't seem to keep himself to...well, himself...as long as she's over 18 (he's the oldest of the Weiß boys at age 22). He probably sleeps alone on average once a year. He always has his sunglasses on, and a cigarette. If he doesn't die of lung cancer, it will be a miracle! He uses a garrote (the sexy wire of death!).

Hidaka Ken - he's a soccer player and he loves kids. What else do you need to know? He used to be a Japanese League goalie, but was unfairly kicked out for supposedly betting on his own games. Ken is a little naive, but it's so endearing! His weapon is the bugnuk, or tiger's claws, which is an unfortunate name.

Tsukiyono Omi - the youngest of the good guys, I still think he looks like a girl...moreso than even Tsukishira...which is pretty scary... but Omi has a very interesting past and uses a crossbow. Omi is actually a Takatori! Shocking, isn't it? It turns out that Persia, Weiß's boss, is Takatori Reiji's younger brother! Takatori's wife had an affair with Persia, and Omi was the result. Talk about a messed up family...it gets worse when Omi is involved with Ouka, Takatori's daughter! His own cousin! Or is she his half sister? Either way, yuk! Of course, they don't know that, but still.... Omi is actually very cool.
Schwartz - the badguys.
Brad Crawford - the American leader of Takatori Reiji's elite bodyguards. Is called an oracle because he can see into the immediate future (why does Schwartz get all the cool powers?). He's quite ruthless and his ends are very well hidden.

Schuldig - it means "guilty" in German. He can read people's minds, which is kind of alarming. Although that makes getting information quite easy, wouldn't you think? He's in his early twenties, although not much is known about his past. I love Schu! He's really cool, in that complete bastard way. He enjoys manipulating people, and he says their thoughts taste like honey...when he first melds his mind with another's he can't tell where he begins and the other leaves off...

Naoe Nagi - the youngest of Schwartz, he has telekinetic powers...that means he can move things with his mind. He fights with Omi, which I think shows remarkable age discrimination...Nagi also gets involved with Tot, one of the members of Schreint, a group of female assassin types. Ah, moonlight rooftop stakeouts together... ^_~ I really don't know what he sees in her though, except perhaps his lost childhood. He had it pretty rough, and apparently blames society.

Farfello - he's the fourth member of Schwartz and is not, in my opinion, bishounen, but I figured I ought to include him in the description anyway. I don't know too much about him, except his name is sometimes Farfarello, which I believe is correct if he was named for Dante's Inferno .

He's an Irish nutcase with an inhuman tolerance for pain and an eye patch. And yet I always think of farfalle...it's a kind of pasta shaped like bowties. And how can you take a man seriously if all you can think of it bowtie pasta?
