Warlock

Warlock
Chapter 1

My name is Adam Warlock the 4th and I am not from the planet Earth. I was born in another galaxy on a planet called Questworld. Though I am of a different species, I look very much like a Homo sapiens. Except of course for my golden skin and the large green emerald on my forehead. The green jewel in foreheads is not a natural thing on my planet. Though the inhabitants on my planet have the power to fly, live 200 about years, and can lift 1200 pounds, they aren't violent. They are peaceful people who would always choose talking a matter out, rather than fighting. My father, King Adam Warlock the 3rd, was ruler of this world and was very wise.

One day there was a power that came to our planet that even he could not control. It was a power that no one could handle that was thrust upon our world. It was a beautiful green jewel that my father named the Infinity Gem. It had came to our world in an escape pod with the symbol of the evil tyrant and warlord Thanos on it. My father almost destroyed the gem, but destroying objects that we don't understand was not in our nature. When he picked it up, he felt great love and power surge through his body.
As my father ran towards his castle and my pregnant mother, he tripped. Now, let's get one thing straight. Questoions barely ever trip and that goes double for my dad. They are graceful in their steps, but in his excitement to show my mother, he stumbled. As he hit the ground, the gem flew from his hands and broke in half. He had cut himself badly and was bleeding. When he picked both the gems up, the gems glowed and soothed over my dad's injuries. As the glowing ended, he saw that it had instantly healed his wounds! He then flew straight to his castle and to his pregnant queen.
As he brought it to my mother, it started to glow a bright green color. He knew that that the gem had reacted to his wife or his unborn offspring. He also knew the gem had great power and was most likely good, it healed him didn't it? Why would Thanos have it then? He must have had the gem slip right by him. The evil Thanos probably wanted the gem for it's power, and wasn't happy that it was missing. He then knew that one-day unspeakable forces from the dark side would come to his world looking for the gem and to enslave his people.
That's why he let my mother hold the gem. As my mother handled both halves in each hand, they were suddenly absorbed into her body. For seconds my father watched as his wife glowed the same color as the green gem. The look on her face could only be described with two word…pure ecstasy.
As the glowing stopped, my mother fell to the ground. My father ran to her aid, to greet her as if she had just awakened. When she woke up she smiled and said," Adam we're going to have twins!"
My dad's face was puzzled, "How do you know?"
My mother just smiled walked to the window and caressed her stomach. In the last two months is seemed that everyday my mother seemed to grow happier and happier. It also seemed my father grew more worried and worried about Thanos and his forces coming.

Thanos sat up from his battle chair and confronted a traitor. He looked the reptile up and down. It looked male and about 40-45 years of age, very young for his species. He was electronically chained up side down, and he was crying.
"Don't you know what the penalty is for mutiny is?" Thanos asked with his deep and evil voice. The traitor started crying harder.
"Look, we can forget everything that's happened earlier, I just want to know where my gem is." Thanos looked at the reptile, he knew he wasn't stupid.
"Give it to me!" Thanos roared as he shot red energy beams out of his hands. The reptile shook and screamed as in an instant he was reduced to charred remains. He looked at the fried traitor and smiled. Another thing Thanos was feared for was his temper, and should have been.
