Chapter 10
Final Encounter
Suddenly Thanos magically appeared out of nowhere, "How did you like that entrance?"
I spoke up, "Like you, it sucked."
Thanos shot an energy blast that David and I easily dodged. The blast killed five of Thanos's men behind us. Thanos growled, "I had fun killing your father. If you couldn't tell, we played a game of darts. But the best part probably was when I saw you two's faces as I dropped his smelly, burnt carcass of the roof!"
David yelled, "Yeah, and then we killed over a four hundred of your men in 20 minutes. Speaking of which, where were you? Hiding under your bed like the little pussy you are?"
I looked around. There was a control post high in the corner of the room. This was a workout area. I looked above us, there was a 5-ton weight 50 feet above us. I used my powers to pull the release switch across the room.
"Jump to you left David!" I yelled using my telekinesis so on one else could hear. As the weight hit the ground, David and I flew to the air to not feel the shock wave vibration.
As we floated back down to the debris covered ground we saw something move. As the dust cleared, I saw Thanos walking painfully towards us. He was bleeding and missing an arm. He picked up and put his arm back on as ran towards us yelling, "It ends now!"
Thanos slammed David to the ground and stomped on his head. As I tried to fly into him, he dodged, grabbed my arm, and swung me to David. As I flew into David, Thanos shot out his energy blasts. Luckily David caught me and flew to the air. Thanos jumped through the air and kicked us back to the ground.
He then picked us both up with one arm and threw us through the air. We stopped in the midair and flew towards him. David tried to roundhouse kick him in the head, but Thanos easily blocked it. I came in with a punch, punch, punch, jump kick, spin kick, punch, roundhouse combo but amazingly Thanos blocked them all and punched me into the wall. I tasted my blood as it trickled down my face and then I blacked out.
I woke up only to see Thanos and David still fighting. David was seriously losing the battle and was taking major damage. Before I blacked out he only had a bloody nose, now he had two black eyes, a broken nose, and blood and bruises all over his body.
"Thanos still thinks I'm out," I thought to David, "Now we can surprise him and take the upper hand."
I grabbed Thanos's legs as I saw David flying through the air. Unable to move, David hit Thanos so hard it sent him flying through seven walls straight into the bridge of the ship.
I looked at David and saw why he was able to take so much punishment from Thanos, when I could take so little, his ring! It was glowing and protecting him! I looked at my cape. Amazingly, it wasn't torn, but besides that, what did it do for me? I just my butt kicked.
I walked over to Thanos's body. His body! It was covered with bruises! David's ring must give David more strength. I looked around, there was a man on the bridge steering the ship away from the planets and moons which were speeding by, by the second. The switch! Thanos wasn't kidding! If we hit anything would all die! The man turned around and started to pull out his pistol.
I turned towards David and saw that he was pointing his hands towards the man. "Noooo!" I screamed as David shot the man.
"What? I was only finishing our vow. Besides what was I supposed to do, he was pulling out his pistol!" David said.
I answered, "That man was controlling the ship!"
David smacked his forehead. "What are we to do now? Hey, my ring! It slipped off!" he said as the ring slid off his finger. A voice spoke up behind us, "Die!"
I instantly jumped and felt the close heat of a super blast. I head
butted Thanos using the powerful electronic force from my gem to throw Thanos through the wall and into the docking room. I looked around. Where was David? I turned around and saw David lying on the ground covered in black charcoal. Thanos had fried him!
"I'm not going to make it, Adam," he said weakly. I looked him over he was bleeding through his charcoal shell and not even the best doctor around could ever help him. His ring was on the ground, it had fallen off. I looked behind me to see Thanos gone. He used an escape pod to get away. I slid the ring back on my brother's finger. Nothing happened, the damage had been done. Suddenly a loud alarm came over the intercom saying, "Two minuets until impact with planet Nectoron."
I looked at the screen, a gigantic world was in view. That was what we were about to hit! "Come on David," I said to him. His eyes were closed.
I started crying, "You are the strong one! I can't do this!" My tears fell on his face.
As I stayed with him, David's words repeated in my mind "Adam, If we are going to beat him we are beating him together!"
My head touched his for what seemed like forever. Tears were still rolling down my stained cheeks.
I could barely hear the slow count down: "8...7...6..."
My forehead touched his. "5...4...3..." As my gem touched his, we both started to glow.
"2...1...Bye bye have a nice day!" the computer electronically said before we crashed in overdrive into the planet.
