Chapter 6
Arrival
For 2 months father worked very hard to enforce our kingdom to unbelievable capabilities. Not even a mouse could get in without a pass card, but not even all the high tech weapons and security could ever keep Thanos out. Even super guns could not pierce his super steel like skin. Their where even rumors that he didn't need produstastic leather gloves to touch energy bars. When most worlds learned of Thanos coming, they threw down their weapons to surrender and to beg for mercy. But not Questworld, give up? Never.
David and I sparred roughly throwing, shooting, and flying into each other outside in the sun. We had been practicing for the last two months and were great fighters. We were currently practicing about 100 miles away from the castle (for safety reasons). Father had told us to say close (for us at least two hours away) and keep on our radios in case of an attack.
I threw David on the ground and punched him. Of course I was the better fighter but his energy blasts always were a little stronger than mine. David tried to sweep me but I back flipped and kicked him in the back. He rolled on the ground and then flew into the air. I joined him at his height in the air which about 30 feet from the ground.
He shot energy blasts at me but I easily maneuvered out of the way. I used my telekinesis, while we were fighting, to lift a large boulder over his head from the behind. Just as I was about to drop it, he looked up and shot it to a million pieces. A dust cloud from the rock had settled and because there was no breeze, it stayed in our area blinding us. I returned to the ground coughing and sneezing. I looked around, "Where was David?"
Just as I had thought that, I felt a fist ram at full speed into my back. I was hurled about 50 feet through the air and landed hard. As David ran towards me to finish the fight, I got a lucky energy shot, at point blank range, right the chest. He flew back about 65 feet through the air and was about to land on a very sharp and jagged boulder. With my telekinesis, I moved the boulder away just in time to see David hit the ground.
He hit the ground so hard it made a small crater. As I flew to him he sat up and looked at me, "You know that that was a lucky shot don't you?"
I smiled, "So, that hit was enough to take you down hard," then I added, "that hit almost took your life."
David shook his head," You didn't hit me hard Adam."
I looked at the boulder, "That boulder was right where you are sitting right now. Do you know what would of happened if I hadn't moved it?"
David looked at the sharp jagged surface. "Thanks," he said weakly.
"Anytime." I reassured my brother. David got up and brushed himself off.
"Let's go at it again,'' he said.
Suddenly a feeling came through us both we had never felt before. It was a warning that something evil was in our presence. We looked around, but we saw nothing. We both heard a woman screaming on the radio that Thanos had arrived and was close to the castle. Suddenly the transmission stopped abruptly. We looked at each other as one word raced though both of our minds, "Father!"
