My Daughter Died by Suicide
I had a daughter so young and fair,
with sky-blue eyes and golden hair.
But now shes gone; I've cried and cried.
My daughter died by suicide.
Only eighteen years old, such a tender young age,
To be lying so still, so cold in her grave.
If only I had known how great her strife.
I'd have buried that gun that took her life.
I stare at her pictures, I long for her touch.
God, doesn't she know that I love her so much?
Oh how my heart aches from this pain thats inside.
My Daughter died by suicide.
With her breathless body burned in my brain,
I can not escape this torturing pain.
I close my eyes, but I still see
Her blood-red blood in my memory.
I live each day with this simple prayer
Bless her Oh Lord, shes in Your care.
And please don't allow any more that may try
To take their life by suicide!
