DEFIBRILLATOR heart restarting machine. This is now stored at the Spar shop Edward Road for borrowing by group events. (A defibrillator was bought for use at events in Whitehead. The Spar shop in Edward Road is open long hours and appears to be the best place to store it.)

Non-
Local, Pauline E Bingham’s book 'Green Pastures', on the Gobbins over 100 years ago available in local shops, including The Bank House and Jordans.
Sandra Nicholl, a local artist, is currently writing an historical novel set in post war Belfast. It features the linen industry which played an important part in the lives of the people who worked in the many mills and factories. One of her characters worked as a damask weaver in Ewarts Mill on the Crumlin Road. Does anyone have any memories of those times?
If so, Sandra would be most grateful if anyone would be willing to spend time reminiscing about this period of their lives.
If anyone has any photographs taken within the weaving sheds depicting weavers working at the looms or of the exterior of the building, Sandra would be most excited to see these and if possible, use them as reference material for illustrating the book.
Sandra Nicholl can be contacted from the contact page of her website.
