Blackhead Car Park, Harbour Car Park, boatyard and slipway
From Belfast (this route takes you through the sometimes busy and crowded centre of Whitehead -
Travelling from Belfast, towards Larne on the A2, turn right into Cable Road, just after the Cable Garage. Take the third turn on the left into King’s Road. Continue straight down King’s Road to the end, which is a T junction with Chester Avenue. Turn left into Chester Avenue and take the next right into Old Castle Road. This road leads you straight down the hill to the two Blackhead car parks, with the boatyard and slipway.
From Larne
Travelling from Larne to Belfast on the A2, turn left into Slaughterford Road (at the Bentra Golf Course). Continue along this road, into the Islandmagee Road (no turn offs anywhere). Immediately after passing Whitehead Primary School, turn left into the Old Castle Road. This road leads you straight down the hill to the two Blackhead car parks, with the boatyard and slipway.
