The Test Subject Simulation is a demonstration of the capabilities of the “Cyberpeople Jack Implant.” One end of an IEEE 1394 “Firewire” cable is plugged into the subject’s jack implant and the other end is plugged into a computer jack. A subject who is struggling with communicating “what they mean” through traditional communication methods mentally visualizes what they are attempting to communicate and the brain impulses are picked up by the cyberpeople jack implant. The cyberpeople jack implant converts the brain impulses into a digital signal easily interpreted by the computer and are reproduced on the computer monitor.
The Test Subject Simulation of the “Cyberpeople Jack Implant” is a segment of the URCAD 2007, 11th Undergraduate Research and Creative Achievement Day at UMBC, my presentation of a Three-dimensional Multi-Modal/Multi-Media Argument, “The Cyberpeople Jack Implant: A Study of Remediation, Ethics, and Technology.” This slideshow played in an infinite loop at a rate of one slide per second on a laptop during the presentation.
