Although this may look like a crystal ball, one of those balls that you shake up and the snow falls down, or even Kami's look out but this is the universe that DBZ takes place in. Here is the map of the planet's in the heavens that you don't see very often. Use the numbers placed on the map to identify each part of the map.
1. Outer Space:
The concrete looking part of the map is actually outer space. This barrier is the end of the galaxy. This region is made up of four different galaxies; North Galaxy, South Galaxy, East Galaxy, and West Galaxy. Each part of these galaxies are watched over by the Kias - Kaioshin.
2. Hell (Home For Infinite Losers):
As we all know H.F.I.L. is a sugar coated name for Hell. You will end up here if you've been a bad little boy or girl. There is only one way out of hell and the orgs that run hell are the only ones that know the way back. Goku passed two trails that orgs give him and show him the way back to Snake Way. He was granted this privilege only because he wasn't condemned to hell. The way out of hell is through a small tunnel which leads to King Yemma's desk drawer.
3. Snake Way:
Snake way is a path shaped like a snake. It runs to King Kai's planet and also has an evil princes, Princess Snake, who lives about half the way to King Kai's planet. I would imagine snake way is about the same length as the Northern galaxy since it runs above it and stops at the very end.
4. Four Kai Planet:
The four Kai planets sit above each sector of the galaxy. Each planet is owned by one of the four Kai's. The Kai's watch over the four regions of the galaxy and only one is seen until the Other World Tournament.
5. King Yemme's Castle:
King Yeme's Castle is where every being is gathered after they have died. There King Yemme will review your life and sentence you to heaven or hell. If you are sent to hell you are simple sucked in. But if your going to heaven then you are transported via Other World Airport.
6. Heaven:
You are sent to heaven if you've been good while living. Heaven basically looks like a huge earth. The plants and animals are pretty much the same. The only difference is that there is no evil tolerated here. Although you are in heaven you can still be sent to hell. Piccolo gets sent to hell in the GT saga to help Goku when he was tricked into going there to fight Cell and Frieza.
7. Other World's Sun:
Other World's Sun is just another big star floating in the sky. It brings light to the universe except for the galaxies.
8. Grand Kai's Planet:
Grand Kai's planet is one of the most popular planets in other world. Many fighters go to Grand Kai's Planet to compete in the Other World Tournament. The winner of the tournament is granted training from Grand Kai himself. The training is granted to Goku 10,000 years after the tournament so that Grand Kai could whip into shape.
9. Kaioshin Planet:
This planet is home to all four Kaioshin before Buu killed them. The Kaioshin watched over four different regions of the universe. Now it is home to the new Supreme Kai (Old Kai) and the East Kaioshin. This planet was almost destroyed when Goku and Vegeta fought Buu.
