On the DBZ special Bardock and his team are said to be among the strongest of the Saiyans alive. They first appear on planet Kanassa. When they arrived they begin killing every living being there. During the battle one of the Kanassajin manages to cut 's face. The next morning they rest and talk about the battle. According to none of them can remember fighting after turning into an Oozura except Bardock. asks Bardock if he remembers what day his son was born but he completely forgets Goku's birthday and tells them about Raditz's birthday. They tell him to go visit him but Bardock doesn't want to get attached because he knows that Goku will be shipped off to another planet. It is then when Bardock is attacked by two Kanassajin. When attacked they give him the ability to see into the future and read peoples minds. One of the Kanassajin tells Bardock about his new curse. After speaking his last words Bardock kills the Kanassajin and faints from the attack taken in the neck.

Bardock woke up in a rejuvenation chamber when he found out that his crew went ahead on another mission without him. Frieza assigned Bardock and his crew to another planet but when Bardock got there his all of his crew except for was dead. told Bardock that Frieza was afraid of the saiyans and that they were getting to strong. He then died and Dodoria's men shoed up. Bardock then wore a bloody scarf from the blood of his comrades. They laughed at Bardock and told him that Frieza was going to get rid of them. Bardock wasted no time taking his anger out on them. When the last man died Dodoria shoed up and beat Bardock to a pulp. Bardock was not dead so Dodoria fired a powerful beam at Bardock which he thought killed him. When Bardock got up Dodoria had already left so Bardock headed for planet Vegeta.

On his way to Vegeta baby Goku passed Bardock's space pod and he caught another vision. Still on his way to Vegeta he spots Frieza's ship. He can read Frieza's mind and see that he is on his way to Vegeta. Knowing Frieza's intentions Bardock tries to warn the Saiyans of their demise. Since Bardock's close were bloody and torn the saiyans didn't believe Bardock and thought that be had gotten beat up and lost his mind. So Bardock took the fight to Frieza by his self.

Frieza sends thousands of his men out to stop Bardock but he proves to be one of the strongest saiyans of his time and blows pass them. Bardock confronts Frieza and tells him that he quits. he no longer wants to work for Frieza. Bardock offers Frieza an energy blast and sends it to him. But Frieza's blast only absorbs it and it is sent back to Bardock and planet Vegeta. Bardock gets one last vision Of Goku growing up and finally dies. This is the end of Bardock.
