DECEMBER 24 It's old-school Heat this week as the pyro blazes and Michael Cole and Tazz welcome us from ringside. k-kwik VS. val venis Val tries to convert Kwik to the way of the RTC before basics start the match. Val works Kwik in the corner as referee Mike Sparks starts the five count. Kwik tosses Val out and then dances a bit before diving out onto him. Kwik then tosses Val into the steps and then back into the ring. After a K-Kwik near fall, Val drills a nice sit-out powerbomb and gets a two count of his own. Val slows it down with a headlock, but Kwik punches Val to the ground and adds a backdrop and a flying headscissors for a near fall. Kwik nails a top rope hurracarana for another near fall before Val counters into a fisherman's suplex and gets the win. HERE is YOUR Winner: Val Venis Commercial WWF Royal Rumble Replay: At the 1999 Rumble, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Mr. McMahon draw number one and two and face each other to open the contest. In the back, Lita goes to Dean Malenko's dressing room and finds Dean wrapped in Christmas lights. He says he loved her lingerie show on RAW and she says she secretly did it just for him. Dean then points out that they're standing under mistletoe and rather then deliver the customary kiss, Lita gives Dean a right cross to the jaw and takes a walk. Cole and Tazz preview next week's Heat, which will be a look back at the WWF throughout the year 2000. Commercial WWF Slam of the Week: On Smackdown, guest referee Kurt Angle gift wraps the Tag Team Titles for his buddies Edge & Christian. tazz Interview In the ring, a top hat-capped Tazz reads the Red Hook version of 'T'was the Night Before Christmas…." When Tazz is done, festive music hits and SANTA CLAUS makes his way to the ring. Santa throws stuffed dogs to the crowd and Tazz asks if he has anything for him. Santa reaches into the bag and then smashes it over Tazz's head! Santa follows up with a face-plant and reveals himself to be none other than Scotty 2 Hotty. Scotty Claus delivers the WORM to the prone Tazz and celebrates with the crowd. In the back, Matt Hardy tries to convince Lita to end her war with Dean Malenko for her own good, but she won't hear of it. Jeff Hardy tries to weight in on Lita's side, but Matt tells him he's not helping. Lita thanks Matt for his concern but says her fight with Dean is just that, hers. She leaves and Matt vows to take Dean out tonight. Jeff seems to think Matt is a wee bit jealous. Commercial WWF Boot of the Week: Last week on Heat, Test uses a chair to steal a win from Bradshaw. albert w/test and trish stratus VS. faarooq w/bradshaw and jacqueline Power basics start the match before a failed Albert press results in a Mike Chioda two count. Albert comes back with a near fall of his own before working Faarooq in the corner. Albert lands the bicycle kick, gets a near fall and then adds a slam and a splash for another two count. Test is up on the apron, but Bradshaw takes care of him. In the meantime Trish slides a chair in to Albert, but Faarooq heads him off and DDTs Albert onto it for the win. HERE is YOUR Winner: Faarooq Commercial A video package recounts the transfer of power to Vince McMahon and the firing of Commissioner Mick Foley. Cole and Tazz introduce a very nice video tribute to Mick Foley's tenure as commissioner of the World Wrestling Federation. Commercial dean malenko w/perry saturn and terri VS. matt hardy w/jeff hardy and lita Dean blows Lita a kiss before going to work. Matt starts off quickly in the corners before grabbing Malenko's Light Heavyweight belt from the timekeeper, but Dean stops him from using it. Dean takes over in the corner and scores a suplex for a near fall from referee Tim White. Malenko works Matt in the corner before slowing it down with a reverse chinlock. Matt fights up but Dean puts him back down. Matt comes back with a back suplex. Dean goes to the top but Matt stops him and scores a superplex. Matt pulls Dean up after two and then drops him with a clothesline. Matt scores a leg drop off the second rope and again pulls Malenko up after two. Matt really goes for the humiliation by putting Dean in the Texas cloverleaf but Saturn gets up on the apron. Jeff pulls Perry down and Lita clobbers Terri, but Dean rolls Matt up and uses the ropes for leverage to get the win. HERE is YOUR Winner: Dean Malenko |
