The trailer ends with Ron asking: "Can we panic now?"

Harry Potter is being credited with tripling sales of DVD players in the UK.

In the first week of the film going on sale on DVD the number of players sold in the UK was up 280% compared to the same time last year.

More than 861,000 copies of the Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone DVD have been sold and 1.57 million videos, reports www.variety.com.

UK video sales have also increased by 31% this year.

That's also thought to be due to Harry Potter.

It has sold nearly four times as many units as Moulin Rouge, the second best selling video so far this year.

The teaser trailer to Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets has been posted on the internet.

The trailer is only thirty seconds long, but gives fans a good look at Dobby the House Elf.

It also shows Harry and Ron in the flying Ford Anglia.

The trailer begins with Harry's first meeting with Dobby, and shows the elf warning Harry about returning to Hogwarts.

It also includes a clip of Harry and Ron having a close encounter with the Hogwarts Express while driving the flying car.

The trailer for Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets will appear on the internet on June 11.

It will also hit American cinemas on June 14.

The trailer will include some of the new characters from the film, such as Dobby the House Elf and Professor Lockhart.

The first image of Dobby from Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets has been posted on the internet.

Dobby is a house elf who seeks out Harry to try to stop him from returning to Hogwarts.

The teaser poster appears at Warner Brothers' official Harry Potter website, www.harrypotter.co.uk.

The character of Dobby will be voiced by British actor Toby Jones.

Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets will be released on November 15.

Producer leaks "giant" secret June 7, 2002 [ ananova ] reports:

One of the producers of the first Harry Potter film has revealed two actors played Hagrid in it.

Robbie Coltrane is the only actor credited in the role in Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone.

But Tanya Seghatchian, a co-producer on the film, has said another, bigger actor was used in some scenes.

Speaking at the Hay Festival, she told the audience of children "there were two Hagrids and two sets. One Hagrid was big, one small."

She then revealed Coltrane played the small Hagrid, reports www.guardian.co.uk.

Hundreds of Harry Potter fans in New Zealand have found their video copies of the first film were blank.

All of the videos of Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone were sold by the same shop.

Whitcoulls store in Rotorua on the North Island sent its 290 copies of the video back to Warner Brothers.

According to www.nzherald.co.nz, it's not known how many videos were in the bad batch.

A spokeswoman for Whitcoulls said Warner Brothers indicated 500 videos failed quality control and came out blank.

All the blank videos have now been replaced.

Kenneth Branagh: Possible new Director June 2, 2002 [ ananova ] reports:

Kenneth Branagh has emerged as a possible director of the third Harry Potter film.

Chris Columbus, who made the first two films, has said he doesn't want to direct the third.

He feels he has spent too much time in England.

Branagh, who plays Professor Gilderoy Lockhart in Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets, has now been suggested as a possible replacement, reports www.variety.com.

The magazine also says Callie Khouri, who wrote the screenplay to Thelma And Louise, is a possible contender to direct Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban.
