Tischa in the airplane towards Cairo (El-Kahira). We decided not to take an organized tour but bought the Lonely Planet of Egypt. Arriving in the dark at Cairo airport we started looking for a hotel. At 01.30 at night the temperature was above 20 degrees Celsius. Bloody hot. Tischa had taken her shawl with her, and the information the nights were chilly here, wasn't correct. The streets were empty and the hotel full, but the Sun-hotel had a room for us.

We had no problem finding a hotel. I had a copy of the Lonely Planet with me. After the hassle at the airport we found a cab to bring us to the quiet neighborhood close to the Cairo Museum, and a funny guy gave us a room at the Sun Hotel. No point trying to bargain a good price at this time of the day. Tischa is tired, and we got to sleep...

The room is clean, as is the bathroom. No flees, but the bed cover is a bit dodgy. Well, that's the east... Tischa is coughing. As we arrived, and she wasn't at her best when we left, she started coughing. A bad memory of Thailand gets me worried. Tomorrow I will see a doctor.

We sleep deep, and wake up with a thrill. Tischa still coughs, so we go for the local hospital.

The service is great. Although most personnel is just wandering around, and takes us along wandering, we finally arrive at a doctors office. He is great, and tells me only her glens are a bit swollen. A list with medicine is the result, and I don't have to pay a dime!

We leave for the Hotel again. The people are very friendly. They look me in the face, and as I smile, they smile back. I start to feel at home. Their English is ok, and with some I can make yokes, which they appreciate! It's fun. Tomorrow we have to get up early, to go for the pyramids.
