Sonny denies knowing anything about it. Sonny gets fed up and presses Brenda about their status. Sonny finds out that Brenda has not told Jax anything about them making love in the cave. He figures out she is still undecided about the man she wants. Jason thinks Dorman planted the drugs on Jax in his plan to take down Sonny. Sonny makes Jason promise not to go after Dorman. Taggert interrogates Sonny about the drugs. Sonny tells him that Jax is just a decoy for someone. Jax has his drug possession hearing. Ned escorts Brenda even though there are hard feelings between him and Jax. Brenda is grateful to have someone there for her when she is going through this hard time. Jax is still very upset about being set up and blames Sonny for his problems. He believes Sonny set him up to take the blame for Sonny's drug ring. Taggert has entered Jax and Brenda apartment with a search warrant In the search the police find pain pills hidden. When they are about to arrest Jax, Brenda steps in and confessed that they are her pills. She explains to Taggert that she had a hip accident years ago and she became addicted to them. She also explains that she has been under treatment and clean for a month. Sonny and Luke hash over the
Cassadines and the drug investigation. Taggart grills Sonny again. He says he's
given everything he has to the police. Brenda isn't satisfied. Brenda talks to
Sonny and asks him what he is doing to help Jax. She quizzes him about what
information he knows about the drug ring. At first, Sonny says that he knows who
is bringing in drugs and who was Harry's partner, but he can't tell her because
it is too dangerous. She asks him if they will ever be able to trust each other
again. After that he breaks down and tells her that Dorman is the one involved
in the drug ring. She says that she has to tell Jax. Sonny,
Brenda, and Jax have a confrontation when they tell Jax about the set up and he
is furious. Brenda told Jax that he is the decoy for them and threatens to
expose it to the press. Sonny tells him that they don't have enough evidence to
put Dorman away yet, so if he does go to the press there won't be any evidence.
Jax calls Mac to come over and tell him what is going on. Mac arrives and they
negotiate using Jax as a decoy. Taggert arrives and persuade Jax not to go to
the press. Holding a letter from Miranda in her hand, Brenda confronted Jax about the fact that he had known that she and Sonny had slept together in the catacombs. Brenda explained her actions to an understanding Jax, who told her that he knew she loved Sonny. Jax also understood how hard Brenda tried to love him the same way she had loved Sonny. Jax and Brenda then shared a poignant and final goodbye. Jason arrives later to talk about Dorman's arrest. Later, Brenda and Sonny have an intense reunion on the docks. They kissed and told each other, "I love you" and Brenda convinced Sonny she'd stay out of his "Business." Sonny was all smiles and said he was so happy! They talked briefly about their past: the lies, anger and the day she wore the wire. They decided to put the past behind them and quit wasting time, because "wasting time is like laughing in God's face." Brenda told Sonny that Jax knows she still loved Sonny and about them making love in the cave. Sonny said the only thing that was important now was them. More kisses were exchanged. Sonny and Brenda take a picnic by a lake out in the country. Sonny proceeds to tell Brenda the significance of the place. He came to Kids camp when he was 8 years old at that very spot. He was driving by the other day, saw a for sale sign and bought it. He said the place was a place of peace for him, it shows how he feels about her, wants her to see it and offer it to her. Brenda is thrilled; they declare their love and embrace. They have a very sweet conversation and then make love. Jason calls on the cell phone to summon Sonny to the hospital to help deal with the Dorman scene. Sonny and Brenda have to break up their romantic interlude and go immediately to PC. Sonny and Brenda arrive at GH and find out about Emily’s OD. Sonny speaks to Jason. Jason wants Dorman taken care of now! Sonny agrees. He thinks Dorman is going to leave town with the heroin and when he does, they will be waiting for him. Sonny leaves for awhile and Brenda visits Emily. She gives her a locket that has Ned's daughter Brook's picture in it. Emily is still in a trance. When Brenda sees Rebecca Chase, she verbally lashes out at her. They go into a yelling match. Brenda tells her Dorman sells drugs to kids, why do you lie for him, he's only making a fool of you. Rebecca is mad, says Brenda believes anything the Lordly Quartermaines tell her and how dare she question the integrity of a fine doctor like Dorman. "That fine dr. sells drugs to kids" yells Brenda. Rebecca yells back, "That thug (Jason) you were just talking to beat Pierce up and almost killed him!" Brenda snears at Rebecca and says,"Too Bad he didn't, because somebody should! Better come up with a new plan, honey, whatever you think you have with Dorman is about to end. He's about to get what he deserves, I can guarantee that!" Amy breaks it up and calms Brenda down. Brenda says to Amy, "Somebody needs to stop Dorman!" Sonny is outside the hospital telling his men to watch all the doors and windows so that Dorman can't leave. Sonny had followed him to the hospital, he thinks that he has planted the heroin in the hospital. Detective Taggert shows up and starts his same old stuff with Sonny, but Sonny stands firm and says that you need me because his people can do things to Dorman that he can't. Taggert lets Sonny know that he is walking a fine line. Brenda shows up and Sonny asks her to go into the hospital and tell the Quartermaines to back off of Dorman. Dorman waits in the morgue for the orderlies to return so that he can leave with the patient and the heroin. While Dorman is waiting he is singing , and talking to himself about all the dirty deeds he has done, when some one enters the room, he looks up , with shock and he is stabbed in the chest with a scalpel. Brenda finds Sonny in the hallway putting something in his coat pocket. He will not tell her if he found Dorman or what he put in his pocket. Sonny and Brenda are confronted by Rebecca. She snarls at Brenda and asked her if she was happy now that Dorman was dead! She goes on about how Brenda had threatened that Dorman was gonna get what he deserved and soon. Sonny brushes her off, telling Amy to get this unglued women a pill. Sonny cannot believe Brenda threatened Dorman in public in front of wittnesses. Sonny's employee tells him that Jason was taken in by the police. Brenda and Sonny enter the PCPD. Brenda tells Jax about Dorman being murdered. AJ talks to Sonny and then leaves to take Carly home. Sonny latches on to Garcia, then Taggert insisting to talk to Jason. He tells Taggert if Jason says he didn't kill Dorman then he's telling the truth as he doesn't lie! Taggert walks off, saying Jason is staying since they still have alot of questions. Sonny hires Balentine to represent Jason in the matter of Dorman's murder. Sonny is not too happy about the situation Jason is in. Mr. Balentine, the attorney was off checking out the statement the cops wrote up for Jason to sign. Balentine immediately weeds out that the PCPD has already ignored anything resembling anything to do with civil rights. Jason goes over the Dorman stuff with Sonny and tells him what he found at the scene: that Dorman's heart was nearly cut out, blood all over, but no murder weapon. He did find plane tickets to Chicago in Dorman's pocket, though. He defends his presence at the crime scene, saying he'd probably have been arrested anyway, but as there was no evidence anywhere linking him to the murder, he may as well give whoever did it 24 hours to cover their tracks. He's also well aware that his brain damage can be used for a legal argument. Taggert takes up hassling Jason again. Sonny and Valentine press the detective to put up or shut up and release their suspect. The two cops confab, discussing their mutual quest for Sonny. Finally, Garcia orders Taggert to release Jason. Luke shows up and Sonny informs him of what's going on. Luke and Sonny leave. Taggert and Garcia huddle over the latest report that comes in. The hair samples that were found on the murder scene: One dark, One Blond. Brenda is at the PC Hotel waiting to have dinner with Sonny when Jax arrives and sees her. He goes over to the table and sits down. He asks her if she is waiting for someone, and she says yes. Just as she is getting ready to tell Jax that she has decided to stay with Sonny, Sonny walks up to the table. Sonny tells them that the police found Dorman's heroin and that he was hiding it in dead bodies. Jax tells Sonny that it seems real convenient , now Dorman is dead, that he is a suspect again. Jax leaves and S&B talk. Brenda is very anxious and worried about Sonny, but he tells her that she needs to accept his life. Sonny explains to Brenda that she can't worry about him all the time, that danger is part of the package, and to keep him she will have to except that and that he will never let her go again. At Sonny's house, Brenda tells Sonny that she has a surprise for him and to close his eyes. They play around for awhile, but Sonny doesn't want to close his eyes and tells Brenda this story that when he was a kid, some kid told him to close his eyes and when he did he hit him in the face. So Brenda tells him to turn around then and she goes over to behind the couch and gets a picture for him. She tells Sonny that when they were at the jail she saw the look on his face when he works, so she went back to the country and took a picture of it. She says that the place in the picture is also a part of him and the picture will always remind them of that. He is deeply touched and they end up cuddling on the bed while Brenda builds her "castle in the air", fantasizing about the home they will build someday, when there is a knock on the door. Sonny opens the door and Jason tells Sonny about seeing Jax at the morgue and they are both wondering what he was doing there. Brenda jumps in claiming that Jax wouldn't kill anyone. Sonny says that Dorman disgraced Jax's family and anything is possible. As Jason is leaving, Sonny tells Jason that he wants to know where he is at all times. Brenda asks Sonny how long this is going to go on. He tells her that he has to keep up the investigation to the end. Later that night, Jason finds Sonny down at the docks alone and he talks to him about his suspicions on Dorman's killer. Recalling Robin's words about his responsibility to the Q's, when he first saw Dorman's body, he felt he had to cover for Monica. He senses the Q's are lying about something and he vows to Sonny he will not let him take the fall for a murder they both know he didn't commit, no matter what. Sonny tells him it's scary to have everything because now he has everything to lose. Back at the hotel later, Brenda wakes up in Sonny's arms and they talk and kiss. Later in the morning, Brenda expresses her anxiety about Dorman's death and the cops being after Sonny. Brenda tells Sonny she is afraid for his safety. Sonny insists that they can't live their lives in fear. He assures her he's not worried and tells her she needs to accept that part of his life that makes him a target. As they start to kiss, room service arrives. Brenda is upset by news coverage that blames Sonny for the murder. Taggart and Garcia arrive and try to take Sonny in for a hair sample. Brenda blows up at them. He tells them he will come to the PD in an hour. Sonny gets angry at Brenda for losing her cool and they argue about how the police are trying to frame him. Sonny calms her down. She will always try to protect him. They go to the PD. Brenda hatches a plan to switch her hair for Sonny's to show that the police will frame him. Later, while Sonny is getting dressed, she cuts a piece of her hair and puts it in an envelope, then into her jeans pocket. There is turmoil at the police department as hair samples are starting to be gathered. In walks Sonny and Brenda. Sonny gives the hair sample and yelling is heard behind him as Jason is led in with handcuffs on. Sonny gets furious, as well as Jason. Sonny tells them they will not cooperate until they get a judges court order in order for them to give them anything now! Garcia gets everyone to calm down and Jason's handcuffs are removed. Brenda quietly takes Sonny's hair sample while all the confusion and yelling is going on. She asks Jason for a distraction so she can help Sonny with something. He does so, when Rebecca comes out of one of the offices, he verbally attacks her. Sonny
jumps in as Taggert grabs Jason, handcuffing him and threatening arrest. Garcia
puts a stop to it. Taggert starts in on Sonny about Lilly's death and how he
caused it. Garcia loses it, tells Taggert to shut up. All is quiet at that
moment, surprise showing on Sonny's face. Brenda succeeds in the switch. Jason
and Sonny finally agree to cooperate once Garcia apologizes and says the quicker
they get this over with, everyone can leave. Later, Sonny scolds Jason for going
after Rebecca in front of Taggert. Sonny is going with Jason to help fit for a
tuxedo for the nurse's ball, per Robin's request. The three of them leave. Over at the hotel, Sonny and Brenda talk about their day in the country. Sonny shows her the plans he had drawn up for their dream house; she is ecstatic. They end up in bed and later look at the plans some more. They talk about Lois and Brooke visiting, and talk about having rooms for kids in their house. He mentions her moving back into his place. Brenda is trying to explain to him that she is not ready to do that yet. She says that it will to hard right now with all the memories of Lily there, that she doesn't want to be haunted by ghosts. The house he says, was decorated for him by Lily to suit his taste, but he also knows that she wouldn't want him to turn the place into a shine for her either, when there is a knock on the door. Brenda asks Sonny, who could that be? He opens the door, it's Detectives Taggert and Garcia. They tell Sonny that the results of the hair sample came back from the lab and that his matched. Taggert says that he must of dropped the hair when he was planting the heroin to try to set up his partner Dorman. Angrily he replies, I have not been near the morgue, when Brenda jumps in, telling the detectives that she knew that they were going to try to set up Sonny, so she switched his hair sample with a piece of hers. Detective Garcia tells her that she can get in big trouble for tampering with evidence, that she has wasted valuable time, to get ready to go down town to do another sample, and that if what she says is true, she better have a good alibi for why her hair was on Dormans body. Brenda tries to explain to Sonny why she switched hair samples, but he tells her that they will discuss it later. At the Nurse’s Ball, Jason, Sonny, and Mike are discussing the hair sample and that Sonny doesn't want Jason to get involved in Brenda's scheme's. Sonny with a smile, tells Jason that he looks like he was born in the tuxedo. Back in the dressing room all the ladies are getting dressed for the fashion show. The nervousness and the excitement builds up. The ball begins as Alan enters the stage singing. The beautiful ladies of Port Charles swirl around the stage as Alan sings. Lucy enters the stage and introduces the next act. Tony is singing behind the bar as Carly is sitting on a bar stool acting as sexy as ever. Afterwards, Lucy appears telling them how wonderful they were. She then reminds everyone why they are here tonight. She is telling them that what they get for there money is hope, real hope. That all the donations that have been given over the years have given people like Robin one, five, maybe twenty years of more life. That it might have been too late for people like Stone and John Hanlen but not for everyone else. Bobbie and Luke do the disco, to the "Let's Dance" Donna Summer song. Luke is quite a dancer! Jason and Karen speak to each other. Brenda later tells Jason how strange it was to see the two of them together again. It brought the high school memories back. Dara and Ned perform together next. DVD #17B Edward, Emily (along with her real-life father, Russ Tamblyn) sing and dance with the Ward house kids. Jason is surprised to find Robin out in the hallway standing in front of Stone's section of the AIDS quilt. She just had to be there after all. Katherine is prepared to replace Robin for the speech part of the program. She walks on stage with just a cane, to everyone's surprise. She sees Robin in the back with Jason and asks her to come on stage. Robin gives a moving speech about Stone, AIDS, contributions that help those with HIV to have hope for a cure. She hugs Lucy, Katherine, Mac, Brenda and Sonny. She leaves, but will be back for part of the summer, she tells Mac and Jason out in the hallway. Karen finds Brenda later at Stone's quilt and they talk awhile. They have a nice conversation about Stone and Jagger. Karen leaves and in walk Garcia and Taggert, demanding she go with them to the PD. Brenda is questioned at the LAPD. Sonny realizes she was taken there and rushes to the PD. Taggert shows Brenda the scapel and tells her they found it in her car. She says, "How stupid, if she did it, why would she swap hair samples and hide the murder weapon in her own car?" Sonny is furious at them when he storms into the interrogation room. He tells them they have nothing and she has been set up. They tell him, blood type on scapel is same type as Dorman's. Sonny tells them when the DNA reports come in, then call them. He takes Brenda home, after they tell them both not to leave town. When they get back to her hotel room, it has been trashed by the cops in their search through it. Sonny says they can go to the penthouse. He reassures her everything will be fixed. She looks worried. Sonny stresses the importance of the situation to Brenda. She just can't believe they can build a case against her. He thinks Taggert is out to get him through Brenda. He wants his attorney Ballentine to handle her case. Over at Sonny's and Brenda's hotel room Jason arrives. Brenda explains to Jason what happened and how they are trying to frame her. Sonny pulls Jason aside and tells him that he wants him to go get something for him and bring it back here. He also tells him about the hair, and the murder weapon that was found in Brenda's car, but that they couldn't charge her with anything yet because there was no finger prints, but that if Taggert is trying to frame her, that it won't take much more. Jason finally arrives back at the motel, Sonny walks up and hands something to Brenda. She opens it up and it's blueprints for a house at the lake. She is so happy. She says that she is so sorry that she messed everything up. Sonny says that he will make everything allright. At the motel, Brenda has been arrested for the murder of Dr. Dorman. They have taken her down to police headquarters were they are questioning her. Sonny is out side the room, he tells Jason that he knows that she is blabbing to them, and that she doesn't have her lawyer with her. Jason asks Sonny what he can do to help. Sonny whispers something to him. Brenda is telling Taggert and Garcia that she knows that they are setting her up. She wants to know why if she did it, that she would leave the murder weapon in her car, they tell her that sometimes murders panic. She gets angry and says she knows that they don't have enough evidence to hold her, when they produce some clothing of hers with Dorman's blood on it. She starts to yell at them, when Sonny bursts in the room telling them that it's enough. Brenda makes her escape from the police department with Jason's help and Mac as a diversion. Taggert is furious and gets in a few smart remarks to Sonny and Sonny tries to hide a grin. Jax comes to the PD and is very concerned about Brenda. All who know her, realize she is being set up. Jax accuses Sonny of conning Brenda into taking the fall for his crime. Even Mac questions Sonny about who could be setting her up. Sonny assures Mac he didn't do it! Jason gets Brenda to a safe place, a house in the woods. Jason leaves her there alone, to set up his alibi for breaking Brenda out. Brenda tried to get comfortable at Sonny's "safe house" and watched a television interview in which Garcia fielded questions about her escape. Sonny eventually gets to leave the PD, but he is under surveillance. He and Jason arrange for Sonny to have a fake health attack. When the ambulance arrives at GH, it is Jason on the gurney not Sonny. Sonny has escaped his police tail by posing as an ambulance driver. Sonny finally gets to where Brenda is hiding. She is so glad to see him, but she is worried that he might had been followed. He tells her the story of how he got away, that he pretended that he was ill, Jason gave him something to make him sick. So Jason calls 911, but the medics that show up work for Sonny. As they are driving along in the ambulance, Jason and Sonny switch places, and he gets away before anyone knows what happened. Sonny tells Brenda that he will know by midnight if the police are setting her up or if someone else is feeding information to them. He then reluctantly leaves her behind. In the garage, Sonny is interrogating Taggert about Brenda. He explains to him that the one thing his stepdad taught him was how to torture someone. That he wants to know the truth about setting up Brenda. Taggert tells him that everything he is saying is true, that someone called in and told him where to find the skirt, for some reason Sonny believes him, but not without threatening to kill him a couple of times. Taggert wakes up later in his car, he picks up his phone and call sGarcia. He tells Garcia to put out an APB on Sonny, Garcia replies on what charges, assaulting an officer. Back at the house that Brenda is staying at, she is hearing noises and seeing shadows. She picks up the fireplace poker and starts searching the house. She is scared to death, she pulls up the window shade to see if she can see anything, it snaps up and scares her. She walks around the room, then finally sits down on the couch. She hears another noise, then she hears Sonny's voice from behind the door. She opens the door and wraps her arms around him. She asks him if he has found out anything . He sits down on the couch and tells her that he believes that Taggert is telling the truth, that someone else is setting her up, she says, " you are going to fix this aren't you"? Brenda and Sonny are still on the run and she is convinced someone is watching them; Brenda's right and the Tinman tips off Taggert to their whereabouts. The police show up and order the two to surrender. When they don't come out, tear gas is thrown into the house but the two escape. Sonny and Brenda go to Luke for help. Luke tells Brenda she may have to wear a disguise. The two plan on leaving town and aren't sure when they'll be able to return. Luke sneaks Sonny and Brenda out of Luke's place to where he feels that they will be safe. He brought them enough supplies to last for a while. Sonny tells Luke that he was wrong about who was setting them up and now he is flying blind. He doesn't know where to look now, so Luke tells him to just keep looking at Brenda, for if he starts to get paranoid that he won't be able to see anything but if he just keeps looking at Brenda he will be able to see what is over her shoulder. Luke sets them up with a yacht ride south along the eastern seaboard. They have sweet goodbyes for Luke and then pass time on the yacht while Jason continues the investigation in P.C. Jason is talking to Sonny on the phone and the Tin Man is hiding in the bushes waiting to shoot Jason. Just as he is getting ready to pull the trigger, a couple comes out of the bar and blocks his view. Jason is describing to Sonny the description of this guy, the Tin Man raises the gun, aims, then the bartender comes storming out yelling at Jason, telling him I thought I told you to leave, I meant the premises. Jason turns around, looks at him, and says if you know who my boss is, then you know he doesn't make threats, if you want to keep this bar in one piece, you'll get out of my face. Jason finishes his conversation with Sonny and leaves. Jason arrives at Robin’s, they are laughing, dancing, kissing, not knowing that outside the Tin Man is lurking. He puts the gun together, aims, then fires! The bullet hits the flower vase, Robin screams and Jason runs over and knocks her down. He stands up, turns around to the window, then another shot is heard. Sonny and Brenda are safely hidden on the yacht. Brenda expresses her concerns to Sonny regarding their escape and he tells her the real reason why he ran with her. Sonny tells her they really don't have a plan but despite all their current problems they seem happy. Sonny begins to wonder why Jason hasn't called yet. Brenda puts his mind to ease for the moment. Sonny is really starting to get worried. It's going into the second day and he still hasn't heard from Jason. Sonny realizes that they are getting close to docking. He tells Brenda that it looks like that they are going to have to use one of Luke's disguises. Brenda says not to worry that she already has it covered. She comes out into the room, and she is wearing a blonde wig, Sonny stares at her and smiles. Brenda replies, “I know what you are thinking. When you get tire of the old Brenda, you'll have me put on this wig.” On the boat Sonny and Brenda realize that they are docking, all of a sudden they hear someone coming, so they hide in the closet. Sonny has left the cell phone on the table, but it's to late to go get it. A man walks into the room, he see's the phone, picks it up, and walks out of the room with it. Sonny runs out of the closet to find the phone gone. They sneak of the boat and go to get something to eat, and try to figure out how they are going to get to Miami. Sonny looks over and sees a man loading a truck. The plan is to hide away in the back of the truck, now they have to figure out how to get on without the man seeing them. Brenda tells Sonny that they can sneak in when the man goes to the bathroom. Sonny wants to know how she knows that he is going to go to the bathroom, she smiles and says, " he is doing that man thing." Watch you'll see, she walks over to the man and starts to talk to him. She bumps into him and spills her ice cream all over him so that he has to leave. They both go to get into the truck, when the they are stopped by the police. The police that stopped Brenda and Sonny think that he is a armed robber. He fits the description of the man that they are looking for. Brenda is trying to explain to them, that Sonny is from Cuba and that he doesn't even know any English. Brenda tells the police that if they don' t believe her to look at his passport. Sonny pretends to look for it to stall for time. Sonny produces a passport, and they let him go. They sneak into the back of a truck that is headed for Miami, and they are on there way! Brenda and Sonny awake and realize they are almost in Florida. Sonny thinks out loud about who is setting him up and why. They fall back asleep and Brenda dreams about being shot in the shower. Sonny reassures her things will be okay and at that moment the truck comes to a stop and the two get off without being seen. They walk for a while and then plan to hitch hike; unfortunately Brenda has flagged down a cop. The policeman Brenda flagged down questions Sonny and Brenda on what they were doing and asks for ID. He runs a check on them and then offers to drive them into the next town: Tiger Key. They check into a motel and miss an important clue on the floor, the animal gum wrapper. Sonny and Brenda are at the hotel, not really knowing who or what to look for. Not far away at a bar in town is the Tinman. He enters the bar, walks up to the bartender, pulls out a newspaper and tells the bartender to remember the faces the next time they are in here. Brenda wants to go home but Sonny tells her its not a option. They start to try to put things together, a common thread, something clicks and they take off. The Tinman is on the phone, he tells the person at the other end that he is expecting company soon. All you see of this other person is his hands, and you hear opera music in the background. Sonny and Brenda get to the bar, walk up to the bartender, order two beers, he asks for a book of matches, Sonny looks at the matches and realizes this is the place they have been looking for. The bartender comes back, its the Tinman. Sonny and Brenda see the Tin Man at the bar in Tiger Key, FL. They realize it's him when they see him making another one of those origami animals out of a gum wrapper. The bartender slips them a note which requests the honor of their presence at a mansion. Sonny tells Brenda this could be dangerous and he's not sure if they will make it but she tells him she will not let him do this alone. The Tin Man calls his "boss" and informs him that he expects them to show. Although the boss's face is still not shown we see him lighting candles and placing long, white gloves in front of them. In Tiger Key, Sonny prepares for what might happen and Brenda wonders if she should take care of her affairs before they go to the secret meeting. Brenda assures Sonny she can face whatever lies ahead as long as they're together. Sonny and Brenda call home to wrap up any loose ends in case things go wrong and they die. Sonny then surprises Brenda with a cell phone and she calls Robin. Robin tells her about Jason being shot. Robin tearfully begs Sonny to cut Jason loose from his life of crime. She tells him it's for Jason's own safety. Sonny explains why he can't just cut Jason loose from something as complex as the organization, Robin insists she will not be able to stand losing another love the way she lost Stone. She tells him of her chance to study in Paris and how she'd like Jason to go with her. Robin believes this is the only way for the two of them to be together; she is afraid that next time something like this happens he is not going to live. Sonny says he'll think about it and then tells Brenda he doesn't think he can change Jason. Sonny phones Jason, who warns his boss that Jax is on his trail. When Jason asks for his next set of instructions, Sonny informs the startled young man that he no longer has a job. Hurt and confused, Jason demands to know why he's being let go. He tells Sonny that he is a liar, that Robin put him up to this. Sonny tries to tell Jason that it's business, nothing personal. Jason tells Sonny that this isn't business, he knows that Sonny needs him, he tells him that with him out on the run, there is nobody to take care of the business but himself, and if you fire me, there will be nobody. Robin put you up to this. Sonny tells Jason that no matter what happens, from this day forward they are friends, he hangs up the phone. He turns to Brenda, with a tear in his eyes, tells her that Robin deserves to be happy, she's had more sadness in her young life than most people do in a life time. Brenda agrees and says so does Jason he deserves to be happy to. But will Jason see it that way. Brenda tells him that they will be allright. On the other end of the phone though, Jason isn't allright. He hits the wall as hard as he can. Sonny and Brenda arrive at the mansion where the Tinman is holding up. They open the door and walk in. Sonny sees the little tinfoil animal that the Tinman makes. Brenda walks over, she sees a box, opens the lid, a piece of paper pops out, and there is a tarantula in the box. In the background you hear opera music, then the Tinman walks into the room. He tells Sonny and Brenda that they have come a long way. The Tinman explains to them, that he killed Dorman because he cheated him in a drug deal. Brenda and Sonny are shocked when they see that the man setting them up is Rivera. They assumed he was dead. The Tin Man tells them that Rivera did not kill himself because he felt that the two of them should be in the ground where his daughter is since it was really Sonny who killed her. They also learn that Harry was supposed to kill them but failed and so now Rivera says they will not die simple, but slowly, in the worst way while watching each other. Sonny tries to knock the gun away from the Tin Man and but they grab Brenda and then they knock Sonny out cold. Brenda is forced to drink something that knocks her out as well. Brenda and Sonny awake from being knocked out and there hands are tied. Rivera comes in and tells them to give him one good reason he should let either one of them live an hour longer. Sonny, Brenda, Rivera, and The Tin Man wind up in a screaming match and the two of them remind Rivera how it was he who killed Lily and her baby, not Sonny. Sonny then goes on to tell Rivera how he was not leaving Lily and that he did love her but it was not him who killed her and that he will not beg for his life. He tells him he already experienced two wonderful loves in his life, more than most people have, and so he will not beg to Rivera. Later on Sonny unties them both and they walk out of the mansion and try to leave the grounds. Sonny thinks this is all to easy and there must be a trick somewhere; he's right; as they are making there way the meet up with a mountain animal. Sonny and Brenda are in real hot water. Lily's dad is out for revenge, slow revenge. Sonny and Brenda are trying to escape, but they don't know is that Rivera has camera's all over and can see exactly what they are both doing. They are on the grounds trying to escape, when a cougar shows up. They stop, Sonny lights some paper, throws it out to start a small brush fire, then they both run to get away. They get away and run through the swamp. As they are running, Brenda falls into a hole. Sonny finally gets her out, when he looks over and sees the Tinman. They are captured and returned to Rivera. Rivera asks Sonny if he liked their little excursion. Sonny taunts Rivera about Rivera killing Lily. Sonny yells at him, “Listen old man, do whatever it is you are going to do.” Rivera responds, “ All right I am going to kill you.” Rivera has given them 20 minutes to say their good-bye, because he is going to kill Brenda. Brenda goes over to Sonny, she tells him how much she loves him, then she breaks down crying saying I don't want to die. Sonny tries to convince her that Rivera might not kill them, he is trying to rid his conscience for killing Lily. He then looks at her and tells her he loves her, then says will you marry me? She looks at him, she says I had given up you ever asking me because to marry someone you have to trust them. He tell her, I couldn't even trust myself. They tell each other, “I love you”. She agrees to marry him. When the Tinman and his hoods walk into the room, grab Brenda and say it's almost time. Sonny, he looks a the Tinman and says, yeah it's almost time. |
