DVD #4A  Cusack, calls Sonny to say that word has gotten back to Frank that people are asking questions about his past dealings, and the people asking are Sonny's friends. He "suggests" that Sonny get them to back off. Sonny explains to Luke about Cusack's call and says he's pulling his man out and suggests Luke do the same for Mac. Luke tells Sonny that he doesn't control Mac. Sonny tells Luke he is out. Brenda meets Harry. Brenda and Sonny talk about their upcoming trip to Puerto Rico.

Lois accuses Ned of trying to change the band’s image when he suggests a new acoustic ballad. Ned thinks she is turning up her nose at something good for the band due to her personal feelings for him. Brenda has to referee their argument. The L&B crew are getting ready to leave for Puerto Rico. Brenda learns that Lois has changed her mind and gave the green light for Ned’s “dopey love song” that he sang for her. 

The gang has arrived in Puerto Rico!!!! Beautiful panoramic view of the resort and island. Sonny and Brenda are so excited. Lois and Miguel talk about his visit to see his son. He tells her how they met him and then left without saying goodbye. Lily goes to Sonny and tells him the story of meeting her son and leaving him. Then she thanks him again for all he's done for her. Lois and Miguel talk about lies and forgiveness. Brenda walks up to them in a red bikini. Sexy montage to a Madonna song. Miguel and Lily, and Sonny and Brenda (HOT) making out in the pool. Lois is bummed out because she misses Eddie and is made at herself. Brenda tries to knock some sense into her. Brenda tries to convince her that Ned is Eddie. Brenda calls Ned with the news that Lois misses him.

Sonny convinces Brenda to have some fun even if Lois is sad missing Ned/Eddie. Sonny and Brenda take advantage of their private balcony jacuzzi. Montage of them in the jacuzzi being intimate. They look amazing together and the scene comes off really sincere.

Sonny gets a phone call from Frank Smith who is coming to Puerto Rico for a meeting with Rivera (Lily's dad) and he wants a meeting with Sonny. Frank is not happy with all of Sonny’s “new friends”. Sonny wants a clean break and go their separate ways but Frank still wants to talk. They decide to have a meeting in the next couple days. Sonny calls Luke and they talk in code because Laura is there. Luke will meet up with Sonny to help him with Frank Smith.

Once Luke arrives, he and Sonny talk about how they are going to "take care" of Frank. Luke wants to go in Sonny’s place to the meet with Frank. Sonny insists he needs to go himself to make a break with Frank. Lucy Coe arrives in Puerto Rico. Frank calls Sonny to set up their meeting for the next day which will be at the cemetary. Sean Donnelly is also in Puerto Rico because there were tips that Frank Smith will be there soon. Sonny calls Luke to tell him where he and Frank are supposed to meet that way Luke can show up instead of Sonny and take Frank out. Sonny tells Luke that he wants to come with him and have his back. Luke tells him no. Sonny is going to take the meeting with Rivera that Franks supposed to go to. Sean follows Luke to the meeting.

Lila tells Brenda that Ned left this morning for Puerto Rico. Lily, Miguel, Lois, Sonny and Brenda are talking about the concert. Brenda notices that Sonny is being very edgy and wants extra security for the concert. Brenda can tell that Sonny is hiding something but when she confronts him he won't tell her anything.

At the cemetary, Frank Smith arrives and when Sean goes after him Frank shoots him. Luke comes out of hiding and shoots Frank dead. Luke grabs Sean and gets him out off there. Back at the hotel, Brenda continues to question Sonny who continues to evade her questions. Sonny tells Brenda about some new opportunities coming his way, but is very vague.

Luke shows up and tells Sonny what happened at the cemetary and that Frank is dead. He says that Sean is supposed to be okay. Sonny needs to go to meeting with Rivera so he rushes a suspicious Brenda out of the room and tells her to go to the concert site. Sonny goes to the house where Rivera is and tells him that Frank is dead. Sonny tries to tell Rivera that he is going to be running things in Port Charles now. While they are discussing business Brenda sneaks up to the house and ends up getting seen and grabbed by Rivera’s men. The men drag her kicking and screaming into the meeting and Sonny is shocked to see her there. When Sonny tries to tell them that she is with him and everything is okay they don't care and take her to a different room. Rivera doesn't want to work with Sonny and tells Sonny that much and makes him leave.

Sonny runs back to the hotel to tell Luke what happened. Luke and Sonny come up with a plan to rescue Brenda. Luke borrows a boat from a fisherman while Sonny sneaks back into Rivera's to break Brenda out. Sonny has no problem knocking out the two men who are guarding Brenda. Once he unties her, they run out of Rivera’s as his men are chasing them. There is a big chase scene throughout the hotel. Once Sonny and Brenda reach the pier they jump on the boat with Luke and speed away in a hail of gunfire. Luke catches a bullet and falls off the boat but tells Sonny and Brenda to go on without him. An exhausted Sonny and Brenda come out of the water onto a secluded beach. They fall into the sand and kiss passionately while waves crash into them. Sonny tells Brenda what's really going on and once the sun goes down they walk all the way back to the hotel.

Sonny and Brenda make it back to the hotel where they encounter a frantic Lucy who tells them she saw everything. Sonny asks about Luke, but Lucy says he never resurfaced, and the police haven't found him. She wants to help, but Sonny warns her to forget she saw them and go to the concert. 

Once they've changed, they meet up with Lois at the concert. Lois is mad that they ditched her all day but then they tell her what happened with Frank Smith and Rivera. Sonny tells Lois and Brenda that as soon as the concert is over they need to rush Miguel into a waiting limo and get to the airport. He tells Brenda that he is going to stay behind to work things out with Rivera and set up a deal. Brenda is scared he'll be killed. Sonny tries to reassure her. Miguel goes on stage and the audience goes crazy throughout the whole show.  Brenda wants Sonny to reassure her that everything is under control.

While the concert is going on, Rivera and an army of his men infiltrate the backstage are and get ready to make their move. Towards the end of the concert Ned shows up and pulls Lois aside to talk. He tells her how proud he is of what she's accomplished and she begins to warm up to him. They embrace. The show ends and Brenda, Sonny, Lily and Miguel run to the limo but guns are pulled on them and they are forced into the limo and escorted to Rivera's place. Once inside, Lily and Miguel do not have kind words for her father and she can't believe that this has happened since Sonny promised them protection. Sonny tells Rivera that he would like to have a private conversation with him. Brenda, Lily, and Miguel protest but Rivera has them taken to another room so he and Sonny can talk.

Sonny assures Rivera he is not to be messed with. Cusack is not qualified to take over for Frank and now Rivera needs to choose which side to be on. Sonny wants his friends released, but he refuses. Sonny tells Rivera that they need to work together. Rivera seems to understand but says that can't leave yet because he still needs to deal with Miguel and Lily. The guards bring the others into the room and after threats are thrown back and forth Lilly and her father have it out. Lily tells her father that if he doesn't let her and her friends leave she will go to the police with everything she knows about him. Her threat works and he tells them all to go.

Back at the hotel, Ned and Lois are hugging and almost ready to kiss but then the others arrive back and they all embrace and talk about what happened. Sean comes to their room and talks to Sonny. They discuss Luke's disappearance. Ned tells everyone that they are welcome to use his ELQ jet to fly home. Aboard the ELQ jet, Sonny and Sean have a chat about his meet with Frank. He tells Sean he declined a meeting with Frank and that he told Smith he was only interested in legitimate business, Luke went in his place and the whole plan went south with Luke getting shot. Sonny tells the whole gang what happened but leaves out a few of his illegal doings. He makes it appear like he's going legit. Nobody knows where Luke is.

Ned offers Lois financing for L&B so she can boot Sonny. He is worried about Lois being caught in the crossfire of Sonny’s business. She agrees to talk with Sonny. Brenda warns Ned not to try and push Sonny out of L&B.  Sean and Sonny have to tell Laura that Luke is missing. Laura refuses to believe Luke is dead.

Sonny meets with Cusack and informs him he is taking over. Sonny tells him he is out and he has 24 hrs to leave PC. Brenda comes to Sonny's apartment. She is upset because the Q's are having problems and she had to lie to Lila about what happened in Puerto Rico. Brenda still has a lot of questions about what went wrong in Puerto Rico. She thinks Sonny's hiding things from her. He sugarcoats the truth to calm her down and she leaves. Harry comes over and he and Sonny talk business. Sonny tells Harry that he can run the business in a respectable way so it looks legitimate. Harry doesn't think its going to be that easy. Sonny needs people he can trust and plenty of money. 

Ned show's up at Sonny's telling him he want's to buy him out of L&B. Ned blames everything that happened in Puerto Rico on Sonny. Sonny yells at Ned and makes him leave. Sonny goes to the gatehouse and Lois and him talk about how his illegal doings and turf battle are affecting L&B. Sonny assures her and then informs her of Ned trying to buy him out.

Brenda tells AJ and Jason that Ned blew his reconciliation with Lois by trying to buy Sonny out. She tells them about what went down in Puerto Rico. They give her a big fat I told you so but Brenda tells them that Sonny told Rivera and company to take a hike. Talk turns to Lois and Brenda warns AJ to stay away from Lois. Sonny goes to see Laura who is angry with him for telling Luke where Frank was. Sonny then goes to see Damian about business. Damian questions Sonny's involvement in his fathers death. Sonny wants Damian to partner up with him and give him access to his fathers money and his name. Damian is hesitant because he doesn't want Luke to come after him but Sonny tells him nobody will know they are working together. Damian needs time to think about the offer. Sonny goes back home and tells Stone about all the big things that are happening for them. Sonny gives Stone money to take Robin out. 

Laura calls Sonny and asks him to come over. Laura wants to know if she and her children are in danger from Frank Smith's men? Sonny assures Laura that she is safe. Laura forgives Sonny for what's happened to Luke and tells Sonny that she knows Luke is alive. Sonny goes to the PCPD to answer questions about Puerto Rico. Sonny wants the cops to leave him alone so he offers them information on Jack Boland’s murder case. At home, Sonny makes some calls to try to find out who killed Jack Boland. Damian shows up and they go over some details before Damian agrees to their partnership. Brenda comes over upset with Sonny for telling Lois that Ned tried to buy him out of L&B since it is causing Ned and Lois problems again. Sonny tells Brenda that he will take care of the situation, then he flirts with her to take her mind off her problems. His happiness unnerves Brenda because she thinks it has to do with illegal business but Sonny is able to ease her mind about it.

Lois is at the studio, Brenda questions her about the overbooking of Eddie Maine for revenge. Lois thinks Ned needs to be taught who is boss. Brenda asks Sonny about Luke, but he knows nothing. Conversation changes gears to Ned. Sonny says Lois has got to get even with Ned to be able to get over his lies before it messes up her mind and L&B. Sonny tries to put in a good word for Ned but it ticks Lois off. Sonny is mocking Lois about how she gets revenge on people who hurt her. He upsets Lois and she finally begins to deal with her feelings. Miguel starts bugging Sonny about Puerto Rico. He doesn't really believe Sonny's story. Things are tense between them. Lois and Brenda walk in and ask what's up but the boys just shrug them off. Sonny and Brenda have Lois over for dinner. Sonny sets out to charm her with a home cooked Italian dinner and beautifully set candlelit table.

DVD #4B  Over dinner, Sonny, Brenda and Lois  talk about Ned. Sonny wants Lois to take over for Brenda for Ned’s Rochester concert. Lois and Ned have to work together for the benefit of L&B. They manage to talk her into going to Rochester with Ned for his concert. There is a knock at the door and its Miguel and Lily who are there to announce their engagement. A phone call comes in and it's Laura who says that Luke is home. Sonny rushes over to see him leaving Brenda as the host. Sonny lets Luke know that he's taken some of Frank's businesses over. Luke is happy for him.
 
Lois and Brenda plan the Rochester show for the Idle Rich. Sonny, Brenda, Miguel, Lily, Lois, and the Idle Rich meet at the gatehouse to go to the concert in Rochester. Sonny surprises the gang with a new vehicle for their road trip and everybody rejoices. Miguel and the girls sing, "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town'. Everyone talks about whether Ned is going to make it to his own show due to the bad weather. Lois is annoyed and upset that Eddie is doing this to her again.

When bad weather prevents Ned from arriving in Rochester, Lois tells Brenda how over things between her and Ned are. Everyone is at GH for a Christmas Party. Mrs. Quartermaine invites Sonny, Brenda, and Lois to the mansion for a party. Sonny says they'll all be there much to Lois' agitation. Lois argues with Sonny and Brenda about their acceptance of Lila's offer to go to the Q's as she knows she will have to see Ned. Ned tries to talk to Lois, but Sonny blocks him. Ned corners Lois and tries to apologize and give her a gift. She tells him that she doesn't want his gift and tears into him about his screwups, he counters that he loves her, and that's all that matters. Lois runs out of the party.

Brenda comes over to Sonny's to thank him for her present which is a faux fur jacket. She has another present for him and removes the coat which she is naked under and they make love. Afterwards, Brenda tries to get Sonny to ask her to move in with him but he doesn't want her to which makes her angry. Lois shows up because Ned told her that he is going to take six weeks off ELQ to concentrate on touring. They all agree that's a great idea. Lois leaves but beforehand she tells them what a cute couple they are and how domestic they look.

Once she leaves, they get into it again. Brenda has decided to move out of the Q's to her own place, she just wanted it to be with him. Brenda tells Sonny that he doesn't love her and is just using her. Brenda tells Sonny how much she loves him. They argue with Brenda coming to the conclusion that Sonny is scared of their relationship. Sonny tells her he doesn't want to hurt her. Brenda starts to walk out and Sonny tells her to stop. He agrees to let her move in. He stops her and agrees to her moving in, then he finally tells her he loves her!! This is the first time they've said it to each other.

Brenda asks Jason and AJ to help her with her suitcases as she is moving in with Sonny. Brenda is defending Sonny to Jason and AJ.  She insists that Sonny is now legitimate and tells them that she loves Sonny and they are just jealous because they don't have love lives.
 
Harry comes over to Sonny's. He is mad that Sonny didn't tell him what he's been lining up for the business. Sonny fills Harry in on his deal with Damian. He also tells Harry that Luke doesn't know about him and Damian and he doesn't want him to. They talk about Cusack being out because he isn't a decent guy. Sonny explains the new smarter way he plans to run the business. Luke shows up and he and Sonny talk about the blues club they are turning the old Paradise Lounge into. It's going to be named Luke's. They are both excited about their new venture. Luke tells Sonny that he's meeting the contractor for the new blues club today. The liquor license has been granted and all systems are a go. Sonny tells Luke that it's smooth sailing from now on as he is as clean as a whistle.

Brenda tells Lila that she is moving in with Sonny. Lila is upset and tries to warns Brenda that it's a bad idea. Lila wishes Brenda well and tries to support her. Lila is sad because she is going to miss Brenda so much. Brenda tells Lila she feels the same way and they both hug each other.

Brenda shows up at Sonny's with her luggage (a LOT of luggage). They argue over closet space. Sonny is worried that there won't be enough room. He just wasn't prepared for all of this stuff that Brenda brought but he is glad that she is there. Brenda has a lot of clothes and Sonny likes his stuff a certain way so they are having space issues. They get over it pretty quickly and throw everything aside to make love.

The next morning, Sonny wakes up to Brenda doing her daily 100 sit-ups. Brenda makes Sonny breakfast in bed which is terrible. While he's trying to eat she talks about how great it's going to be living together. On Brenda's way out, Damian shows up with money for Sonny. Luke shows up shortly after and rips into Damian. Luke tells Sonny that if he makes any deals with Damian than their business deal is over. Sonny makes up a story to ease Luke's mind. Later, Brenda comes home and they talk about the quirks of living together.
 
Sonny and Brenda are at the gatehouse where Lois is completely exhausted because of the concert she is doing with Eddie. Lois needs them to come to the next show in Buffalo. Sonny asks if it's okay to bring Stone into L&B and the girls say yes! Brenda thinks that Ned got to Lois on the road. She admits that all of the old feelings are getting stirred up again. Brenda congratulates Ned on his progress.

Luke and Sonny get new suits made for themselves (funny scene). Harry comes in to tell Sonny that Cusack is back in town which makes Sonny furious. Sonny is with Luke at Luke's blues club and they talk about the opening. Lois comes in to tell Sonny that Ned wants to finance a $250,000 music video for Miguel, staring Brenda. Sonny tells her that it's up to her. Lois tells Miguel and Brenda about the video. Lois has a concept idea for the video; she wants Lily in the video too. Brenda thinks it is unfair, as Lily has no experience. Brenda and Stone help out Lois at the merchandise table at Ned’s insane concert in Buffalo.

Harry comes to Luke's to see Sonny with bad news. Cusack is trying to get Sonny out of the business and himself in. Luke brings Laura and Lucky by to see the club. Laura loves it. They all toast to Luke's Blues Club. As they are talking, they hear a loud boom. Everyone ducks down and when they look up there is a big fire. Luke and Sonny try to put it out to no avail.   Laura and Lucky call 911. They all go outside and gunfire erupts. Sonny and Luke return fire. Sonny and Luke go back in the club after Lucky. Luke drags Lucky out screaming for Foster. Sonny carries out Foster in a blanket and he is fine. Laura is angry with Sonny, as she believes he brought this down on them from Cusack. Brenda and Stone return and learn about the firebomb. Brenda questions Sonny about why someone would want to hurt him and how it will affect L&B.

  The next day, Sonny answers questions for the cops. Brenda and Sonny come in and can't believe the state of the club. Brenda is mad when she finds out it was a fire bomb and she demands to know what is going on? Brenda throws a fit in front of the cops so Sonny takes her upstairs to talk. Sonny wants to know how Buffalo went? Brenda is mad at him for trying to change the subject. He sends her to the Gatehouse for the night.

Luke shows up and asks Sonny the details of his take-over of the business. Sonny tells Luke everything except about his deal with Damian. Harry shows up to talk about Cusack. He suggest they take Cusack out which Sonny is hesitant to do.

Brenda is at the gatehouse telling Ned and Lois what is going on. Ned gets really annoyed and tells Brenda to watch her back with Sonny and to not bury her head in the sand. Sonny tells Stone everything that's going on and warns him to watch his back. Sonny goes to the gatehouse and Ned and Lois jump down his throat. Sonny feeds Lois, Ned and Brenda a story to ease their minds. Sonny reassures Luke, once again, that things are fine. Damian meets with Sonny about Cusack. He also asks him to bring down Lucy Coe but Sonny refuses. Harry tells Sonny that Cusacks been taken care of but not by them. They don't know who did it.

Sonny fills Stone in on his plans for Frank’s organization. Sonny has some explaining to do where Lois is concerned. Sonny explains Cusack to Lois, Ned, and Brenda. He insists he is small potatoes and it will all blow over. The L&B gang sees that Sonny is traveling with bodyguards now. 
 
Mac has some questions for Lois and Brenda about Sonny. Sonny’s bodyguard finds Ned lurking in the bushes outside the gatehouse. Sonny and Ned almost come to blows. Sonny tells Mac and Ned that his bodyguards are only temporary.

With Sonny wanting Brenda to stay at the gatehouse, Brenda and Lois have a slumber party. AJ crashes in on them. AJ questions why the two of them have fallen for men who hurt them. Ned arrives and is ticked AJ is badmouthing him. Brenda tells AJ that she does not want him stirring up things for Lois and Ned. Lois tells Brenda that her parents are not ready to forgive Ned right now. 

Mac and Ned decide to team up to get dirt on Sonny. Harry stops by Sonny's to tell him that here is still no sign of Cusack but he did find the two guys that torched the club. Sonny tells Harry to bring them to his apartment. He gives the guys a scare but then decides to give them a second chance. Harry is shocked that Sonny let the two guys go. Harry tells Sonny that people think he's the one who made Cusack disappear. Sonny want's to keep it that way. Some important people in the business want to meet with Sonny. Sonny tells Harry that the meeting will be held at his place. Brenda shows up because she wants to come back home. Her and Sonny make love. Sonny does a great job at his meeting. He tells Harry that he is worried and feels like he's waiting for the other shoe to drop. 
 
Lois is unloading music equipment into the Outback. Mike walks by and when he spots two speakers he steals them, then he takes them to Luke's and claims he got them at a garage sale. Lois tells Sonny what happened and he gives her money for new speakers. Sonny goes to Luke’s and sees the speakers. He tells Luke what happened and Luke tells him about Mike. Luke comes up with an idea to scare Mike straight by having Sonny intimidate him.
