Muggy and cloudy. Hot and unpleasant.

My List

1. I stay up too late every night. An early night is when I get to bed before 3 am.
2. I'm on Facebook. I'm not sure if that makes me stupid or trendy.
3. I'm addicted to NeoPets. I've been playing it for 20 months now and I haven't told my husband. Probably never will!
4. I think I'm a little deaf. If the heater, air conditioner or coffee maker is working while I'm watching TV I have to turn up the volume to hear the dialogue. I also get sick when my husband drives out of parkades...the spirally ones. (So, maybe it's an inner ear thing?)
5. I have attended bovine, canine and human births. They were all joyful events.
6. I'm a fairly decent cook. I have a few specialities, I like to make stirfries, tandori chicken and tacos. I use my frypan and my slow cooker a lot.
7. When people that I don't know come to the door of my apartment, I don't answer it. I usually pretend I'm not home. If it's a delivery I usually answer it, but other than that, I don't.
8. I seem to have developed a black thumb. Every plant that people have given me since I moved to this apartment has died within 2 weeks. I used to like gardening!

On with my day. I had another get up and watch the news, then fall asleep on the couch day. I roused myself finally and got dressed. I didn't have a lot to do today as I didn't have any classes.

I watched yesterday's Cold Case, and then headed out. I went...to a place that my hubby doesn't like, so I won't name it. There's a McDonalds in it so I had lunch there. I think it wasn't too unhealthy...grilled chicken sandwich, salad and oolong tea. Probably wasn't that healthy either. I hacked around looking at stuff. I didn't buy anything. Then, I came home.

Fumihiko wasn't very late tonight, so he came home, changed and popped out again to walk Gombei. He came home again and we chatted for a while. Hubby wasn't feeling well. He had to drink that barium stuff in the morning for his health check....I've never done it, but I've heard stories. It made him feel sick most of the evening.

We both had a hand in making dinner. I made blue cheese pizza, and hubby fried the gyoza. I also set the table, made coffee and got out the salad. Wow! So hard working. It was quite nice. It was a lot of different stuff, but good. Hubby did the dishes after.

We had a quiet evening. Hubby was watching some Japanese program that was supposed to be the news, so I downloaded a podcast of news from Canada. Wonderful. The news itself wasn't all that good, but it was so refreshing to listen to news that talked about all the world...and real news. I really miss that in Japan. Occasionally I do get to watch ABC news from the US and it's okay, but very US centric. I haven't seen the BBC news in ages. It was better. And there were no "Kowaii" stories about seals being given Japanese citizenship or cats up trees either.

It's after 1 now and hubby is sleeping. I should end this and post it. I have to notify my fellow bloggers that I tagged them, so I'll end this.

Tomorrow I have one evening class, so I'm not that busy. I'll catch you tomorrow night, right? Night!
