Cloudy with a few drops of rain in the evening.
Today I got up, watched news, drank coffee. Same old, same old. I watched Extras and wrapped my Christmas presents to one of my friends. After 1 I took them to the post office, along with the cards I'd written yesterday. The cards weren't so expensive, but one of the packages was, so I sent it a longer, cheaper way. Probably won't be there in time for Christmas. Sigh.
Went to work and had a quick trip there. It was dropping the odd bit of rain on me, but nothing major. My classes went quite well tonight, but in the second one, my student wasn't feeling that great. She'd caught a cold last week and still has a nasty cough.
After classes I cleared up and called Fumihiko. There was no answer. 10 minutes later I text messaged him. No answer. Finally, 30 minutes after my original call I texted him again that I was going home. I assumed that he was still working. He phoned me back. He hadn't noticed that his phone had rung. That honestly made me very upset. I'd been waiting around for 30 minutes that I hadn't needed to, and it's not the only time this has happened. Lately, especially since he got this cellphone, it's happened a lot. What if there was an emergency? If I'm expecting a phone call, then I darn well check my phone!
We came home via the grocery store for a few mostly milk based goods. Fumihiko had been busy. He'd made cream stew. I made coffee and set the table, while he heated up the other dish he offered, shu mei. Everything was very nice. The cream stew was good, but it was a bit liquidy. I think he put too much milk in. I did the dishes after dinner and we settled in to watch Ugly Betty.
That was most of our evening. It was quiet, and once I got past the not picking up the phone thing, the night was fine. Yay.
