This the
bigest R/C airplane I was build . The super Chance Vought
F4U Corsair with some modified in 3D
view plan was been to choice . More light , strong material had
been used to contruct
this model airplane ;but the balsa wood and flywood are is usually the good materiel to
made its . The contruction of this aiplane is all balsa and fly wooden
air-frame; covered by thin
light silver PVC and some part was contruc by composit fiberglass . I thing this the bigest scale
wooden R/C model airplane , with 64 cc gas engine DLA this
is the best low wing R/C airplane which I can
do .
Wing : Was an 7296
square inch W form wing and all wooden contructional wing .The
wing- airfoil is NACA 1312 ..and this a one
piece W form wing . The wing is attached with the fuselage
, fixed by eight aluminium screw installe inside the
fuselage . The two aileron system
( see pigures ) .are independable . Each control by one 10,5Kg
servos , installed hide into the wing .The hinges of the aileron are
four plastic hinges installed at the middle of the rear wing bar .
More hole in the wing foil lamina was reduce more the total
weight of the wing . All covered by silver color PVC
|
|
The flap are installe in
03 piece each and movable up and down synchronized |
Fuselage :The
main contruction of the fuselage is all wooden air-frame with
four main bar 10/7 x 170 of eine hard wood ( see plan ) and
covered by 3mm balsa wood .This is the strongest , lightest and
finished fuselage I was build . The
standing of 64cc gas engine is four standing engine or hard
wood standing deck fixed on two layer of plywood ( see pic ). Down
1.5 to 2.5 degree and 1,5-1,7 degree to the right of the engine axis are require .The fiberglass canopy
and wide sufficement opening air intake had given a very good form and firm mouting (see pic ) . |
|
|
Engine : You can
use the gas engine from .52-.64cc. The 64cc gas engine had
been choise foe this airplane . I change the standard muffler by an new exhaust
tube muffler ( see pic ) , more noisy but by this the power can up to 5% and I can change the normal
18x10 by the
23x8 propeller which this has any trouble ( see pic ) . The
engine fixed on the mounting -desk by four steel tube and
renforced by four triangle 3mm steel plate for reduce the
horizontal vibrating of the engine ( see pic )
Gear system : The system retractable F4u gear
are up and rotary 90degree into the wing . An steel tube 10mm
fixe on two perpendicular tooth wheel ( see pic ) get it
can retracted and rotary smootly. Springtable system of this
gear to reduce the force landing and get this airplane on good sweet and safe
landing ( see pic ) . The rear gear fixed with rudder servos and
sprintable
R/C system , servo & other link installation :
Fourt 10,5kg-servo for elevator , aileron & one standar
3,5kg servo
for throttle-valve .
An 11,5kg servo was using for rudder and tail wheel ,
two servos 10,5kg for flap . . The
battery are
fixed in lower , on front of the fuselage and adjust for the CG (
Center of gravity ) at 25%-27% from the front of the wing cross section . The receiver
was place on the highest of the fuselage nearby the CG
and sticking on the base of a rubber foam-sheet for reduce the vibration of
engine and the shock . |
|
The elevators
are connect with two 6mm carbone fiber rod tube with two
3mm steel wire fixed
at the end and fiixed on two 10,5kg servos ( see pic ) .
These are light , hard and had any trouble in working .The
rudder was intalle directly to the rudder servos and fixed with
rear tail wheel ( see pic ) Rudder , elevator , aileron adjust & flying test : Up
1 inch and down 2/3 inch for elevator . Right 1 - 2/4 and lelf
1-2/4 for
rudder and 2/3 inch for the aileron . On the first fly ,
reduce some in the angle-effect for the aileron an elevator
and slight trim down on elevator ( on the first test flight ).

On a
clear and calm sunday morning , I made my first flying test ...... |
