Saitoh Hajime, leader of Shinsengumi Squad No. 3, Mibu no Ookami
Eventually I'll add the links to the links page...but these are the places I got the images of Saitoh from. Arigatoo gozaimasu!
"My Beauty is Criminal!" - must be a Hotohori fan. ^_^
Saitoh-sama image Gallery - a good collection of anime and manga images, no da!
Hahah! I just put this one in to freak you out. This is the real Saitoh Hajime. yes, he existed during the revolution. not as cool or as bad ass as the chimney we all know and love, I would guess.
Saitoh reflected in the face of a clock. This is his fight with Kenshin at the Kamiya dojo, at the very beginning of the Kyoto arc.
...And with the ubiquitous cigarette. He's almost as bad as Sano and those little fishy bones. Actually, Saitoh's probably worse...I believe this shot comes from the opening credits with that horrible song whose name I don't know, but I always fast forward through cause it irritates me.
The smirking Shinsengumi captain. I think that's one of the reasons I decided I like Saitoh so much...that incessant, knowing smirk of his.
Saitoh in his modern aspect of Fujita-san the cop, and as the Wolf of Mibu on the left.
This is a manga scan of Saitoh in samurai mode.
Saitoh's trademark move, the Gatotsu.
I love the sound effects, you know?
Fighting Usui and his "eye of heart," Saitoh uses multiple Gatotsu stances, including my favorite - the Zero Stance, which uses gatotsu from a stationary position and relies on upper body strength. In the manga Saitoh rips Usui in half and impales the upper half with this stance. Yowza. ^_^
I feel like I'm in a game of Good Cop-Bad Cop...Saitoh's probably about to spit out a broken tooth here during his fight at the dojo.
