Kano's Revenge
At the ruins of Shao Kahn's Castle
Sonya shook her head and punched a brick wall in a furious rage , "Two! Two members of my unit killed!" She looked at Guile, "Only you, the princess and I are left of Earth's resistance."
Guile took the unstable commander in his arms. This time she let him hold her through the most emotional time in her life. Through all the sorrow, the last two Earth Strike Team members felt a powerful connection, a powerful emotion. Guile looked Sonya in her strong, hurt eyes. She looked back, equally mesmerized with his strong, light brown eyes. As he was about to tell his true feelings to Sonya, princess Kitana, unaware of the deep meaning of the embrace interrupted him.
The princess Kitana shook her head, "No, have you not heard of Mortal Kombat? There are more Earth Warriors out there to fight Shao Kahn. There is still hope. We are not helpless. Shao Kahn is not killed easily, and I know he is still alive, he's just buried under the rubble. Hopefully, it will take him a couple of hours to get out."
Sonya looked at the fallen castle. As she saw the miles and miles of debris she finally understood how large the structure was. "It must have been 2 miles high!"
Kitana corrected her, "The castle was over a mile high and over half a mile long. Before Shao Kahn and his forces came, it stood for virtue and support, now it stands for nothing. Now it is nothing."
Guile stood up, "I think we should leave and establish a shelter before any of Shao Kahn's forces we missed, show up."
Kitana looked at Guile and Sonya, "I know of a hidden base, by the northern part of the castle, and seeing that the escape pod put us in the southern area, it's going to be hard to get to. That's why, I think you two should head for it, while I search for the writings of our prophet Luke. Only with that knowledge will we be able to beat Shao Kahn."
Sonya shook her head, "No, that's a bad idea. Princess, you need protection, what makes you think that you would be safe?"
"I know stealth," answered the princess, "It took 3 weeks and Shao Khan himself, to find me in the castle once when I escaped. I know the countryside better than anyone alive. I won't be seen."
She pulled out a paper and gave it to Sonya and Guile, "I made this in the secret demolition room." The princess then, as Guile and Sonya's eyes fell to the paper, back flipped away and seemed to vanish.
Guile looked around amazed, "Where did she go? She couldn't have vanished like a ninja, could she?"
Sonya looked down on the paper Kitana gave her. As Guile stopped looking for Kitana, Sonya told him what it was, "Guile, it's a map to the hidden base. Let's start moving."
Guile looked to the abandoned buildings and hellish countryside, "Is she going to be safe?"
Sonya nodded, "She looks like she could take care of herself. And how would we be able to find her anyways? She knows this place a lot better than us. Come on, the best we can do is go to this base and try to meet up with her later."
Raiden's Realm
Lou Kang was running, from this horrible evil being. Holding the unconscious princess Kitana is his arms was slowing him down, but he would never leave her behind. It seemed no matter how far or fast Lou Kang ran, the grotesque evil being would be just a couple of steps behind him. Lou Kang had gone to the Outworld himself to save Princess Kitana and this nightmare pursuing him, had found him in the act of freeing the princess. And so, the chase began.
Just when Lou Kang started to get tired from running, and noticed, to his horror, the monster starting to gain some ground on him, he looked ahead and saw the portal leading back to Raiden's Realm. Lou Kang had a chance to escape alive with Princess Kitana! He knew it would take all of his strength and a lot of luck for him to make it safely. But as he looked down and saw the beautiful bruised and beaten face of his love Kitana in his arms, he knew he would make it.
As Lou Kang went for a long sprint and jumped for the portal, the evil being, named Shao Kahn, threw his massive hammer and tripped the jumping Lou Kang's feet. Lou Kang dropped Kitana and rolled to the ground. Full of pain and exhaustion, Lou Kang slowly rose to his feet to aid Kitana.
As he turned around he was forced to see Shao Kahn rip her defenseless body open and tear out the insides. As Shao Kahn rubbed Kitana's entrails over his mask of skull, he looked Lou Kang in the eyes and told him, "You stupid mortal. You shall never escape the Outworld alive! I'll do the same to you as I did to your little tasty girlfriend! Ha! Ha! Ha!"
Lou Kang woke up screaming. He looked around to see Ryu and Ken sparring against Raiden. Raiden wasn't using any of his powers and he was still beating the hell out of them. But as he sat there and watched them fight, he saw a special gleam in their eyes that they didn't have when they first came. They weren't mad that they were losing, they seemed to only try harder and harder to win.
"Hiya!" was all Raiden heard as Lou Kang did a bicycle kick into him knocking him back a couple feet. Raiden looked at the three warriors, Ryu stood tall, his red bandana blowing in the wind, Ken ready in fighting stance, with that certain smirk he always wore on his face when he fought, and Lou Kang staring into Raiden's eyes with authority.
Raiden put down his defense and smiled. "I can tell that you three are now ready, ready for the fight of your lives. I'm not going to promise you victory, and I need to tell you all that the chances of you winning are very low. But I ask you to think. Think how much you have grown and learned in these short days with me. I want you to understand that you three can be the most powerful beings in all the realms. You have that extreme power, but that power is not your greatest.
"Your greatest power is your undying perseverance. I believe you will never give up your fight for Earth, and that is all I ask of you. So Warriors of Earth Realm it is your choice and your choice only, there is no turning back after this. Do you wish to defend your home world from Shao Kahn? Do you wish to contend in Mortal Kombat?"
Ryu stepped forward and stared Raiden in the thunder gods glowing electricity filled eyes, "I, Ryu Kawasaka, son of Gohan and Akita will willingly give my life to ensure the protection of my home world Earth. And I swear to my comrades and Raiden that I will never back down or give up in my fight for Earth. On my dying breath I will see to it Shou Khan falls."
Lou Kang stepped forward also. "I, Lou Kang, student of the Shou Lin Temple will willingly fight for my home world, Earth, to the end. I swear on my undying perseverance and the destruction of the Outworld."
Ken wanted some style. He flipped and landed face to face with the god of thunder and a smile on his face, "I, Ken Masters, son of Joseph and Rebecca will fight the never ending fight for justice, truth, and peace for Earth. I will go to Outworld and take the place down if I have to do it myself! No one threatens my friends, family, and world and gets away with it! One way or another, Shao Kahn is going down."
As the warriors put their hands together, they saw an empty spot. Just then Lou Kang remembered something, "Raiden, where's our last warrior at?"
Outworld, Ruins of Shao Kahn's Castle
Kain stared at the fallen castle in disbelief. From afar he had seen the mighty castle crumble into nothing and now that he was close to it he still couldn't believe it. "I must be late. The Earth Warriors are already here. They must have done this."
Kain looked into the sky and saw that the moons had not quite yet aligned. It would still take a half an hour until Mortal Kombat begins. They wouldn't be here yet. He had made it with time to spare. Looking around, Kain knew that there were more Earthlings than Sagat had told him.
"I must find them," said Kain as he ran south around the castle looking for any alliances he might find in the fight of his life. As Kain ran he did not notice the large hand come struggling out of the middle of the wreckage of the castle. Shao Kahn's revenge had just started.
"Sonya!" yelled Kano as he saw his nemesis approaching. He smiled an evil grin as he took his fighting stance about 50 yards away from her. "I'm glad you could make it so far as to have me, the greatest Kingpin ever, kill you personally! Oh, and speaking of killing, Jax told me to give you a message before I watched him die. It was, 'Tell Sonya that she is a selfish bitch having me die here alone with no dignity.' He died on his knees, Sonya. He died like Dee Jay. He was nothing but a stupid, weak, little, punk ass nigger. And the funny thing is they both died because of you. You practically killed your whole team on one mission! That shows how good a commander you are!"
Sonya looked at Kano with pure hatred in her eyes. "KANO! You black hearted motherfucker! How dare you say that! I swear only one of us will be leaving this field! This ends NOW!!"
Guile looked at Sonya. On the last word of her threat, tears rolled down her face in rage. She also started shaking uncontrollably. Kano knew just how to push her buttons and had done a good job. Sonya was so full of rage it overcame her. Guile, being an experienced soldier, knew that when rage overcomes a fighter they can't focus, and in the end they lose. Guile knew he had to do something before Sonya got herself killed.
Guile grabbed Sonya and kissed her. At first Sonya struggled to get free but as she looked at Guile's eyes, and felt his warm, wet, lips against hers, she stopped struggling. Guile felt her stop shaking and watched as her tears of rage ended. She kissed him back knowing why he kissed her, but wanting more. As they sat kissing in total and complete passion, they didn't notice Chun-Li fly through the air and hit Guile with a jump kick stopping the kiss, and sending him sliding to the ground.
Guile fell to the ground in pain at the unexpected attack. As Chun-Li landed she stood above Guile and said, "Hey, what is with all this kissing? We came to kill you and that's what we are going to do. You will be able to do all that crap in the afterlife."
Sonya turned towards Kano just as he shot his blaster towards her. She dodged the attack with a backhand spring and smiled at her foe, "Kano you sick bastard, you'll have to do a lot better than that to beat me!"
Kano growled as he started running towards Sonya, "Bring it on bitch!"
Sonya and Kano charged each other with hate in both of their eyes. Kano did a jump kick and knocked Sonya to the ground. Sonya immediately kiped up to her feet and did a jump spinning hook kick stunning Kano. Sonya followed up the attack with two jabs in the face and then an uppercut to the middle section. Kano backed off coughing and holding his ribs.
Sonya smiled, "You were never as good as me Kano."
Kano screamed, "Fuck you bitch!" As he again charged the seasoned soldier. This time he caught her off guard with a front kick to the stomach and an uppercut to the face that brought her high into the air. As she hit the ground Kano was there waiting for her with rage deep in his eyes. He climbed on top of her repeatedly beating her in the face with his silver knuckles.
Kano took out his trademark army knives and stabbed them towards Sonya's chest as he yelled, "Look's like I finally win, bitch!"
Guile was spin kicked to the ground. As he got up and wiped the blood from his mouth he said to himself, "Damn, I guess today isn't my day."
Chun Li smiled and called out to Guile, "Hey army boy, why don't you get your butt up so we can really fight, huh?"
As Guile got to his feet he heard thunder strike overhead. He looked up just as rain came pouring down on his face. It was raining down hard on the fighters instantly drenching them all. Guile looked over at Sonya on the ground. It was hard to see but it looked like Kano had a knife over her, and was about to end the fight!
Guile took a half of a second to charge and then shot out a sonic boom at Kano. The blast hit Kano just as his knives went into Sonya's flesh. Guile watch horrified as Sonya's body convulsed with the knives in her abdomen.
"NOOOOOOO!" screamed Guile as tears came to his eyes. It was the first time in his life that he had ever cried tears of anger and love. He started to run at Sonya when Chun Li broke his leg with a sidekick. She looked at him scornfully, "Why the fuck don't you leave those two love birds alone and worry about yourself, huh?"
Guile turned to the woman standing over him. With hate in his eyes and adrenaline pumping through his blood he did a flip kick knocking her down in the mud.
Chun Li sprang up and yelled, "Spinning Bird Kick!"
Guile ducked as she turned upside down and did a hurricane kick. He elbowed her face and slammed it into the mud. Chun Li squirmed and fought as Guile held her face in the mud drowning her. After a few seconds Chun Li's body went limp in his hands.
Guile crawled on one leg towards Chun Li to help in any way possible. Covered in mud and drenched from head to toe, the only thing in the soldier's mind was to save Sonya.
Kano got up from the mud, and wiped the water from his eyes. As he moved his right arm he felt that it was dislocated. But as he saw Sonya's body on the ground he didn't care. He walked over to the woman. Sonya was coughing out blood and trying to talk. Kano stood above her and smiled, "Looks like I'm going to kill you just like I killed your boyfriend Balrog, huh?"
Sonya got the strength to sit up and look Kano in the eyes. Kano looked surprised as she talked to him, "Fuck you, you piece of shit. I swear to you I will kill you."
Kano laughed, "Really? Well I must say I would really love to see that trick."
Sonya spat blood in his face as Kano knelt down beside her. Kano frowned, "Sonya, It looks like you really haven't had enough pain for you to be civil. Well, looks like I'm going to have to do something about that."
Sonya screamed in pain as Kano turned and pushed down the blades still protruding from her stomach. Blood ran down her clothes and mixed with the mud. Kano started to laugh.
"Kano, you back away from her or I'll kill you!!" screamed Guile who had risen to his feet and was pointing a finger at him.
Kano looked at him with amusement in his eyes, "Or what?"
"Or I'll kill you like the bitch you sent after me."
Kano looked at Chun Li's dead body in the mud as he thought to himself, "Well, after I kill these two and escape from this world I can always get another. Besides the bitch got on my nerves anyway."
Kano rose to his feet and faced the limping Guile. "She broke your leg, huh?" He said pointing to Guile's leg. Guile looked down for the first time since it was broken. Not only had she broken it, she had ripped the bone so that it was protruding from his skin. It was only the pure adrenaline in his blood that allowed him to take the pain.
Suddenly as Guile was looking at his injury he felt a snap and fell to his knees. He screamed in pain as he looked up at Kano. Kano walked around him, "And it looks like I broke the other!"
Kano punched him in the face knocking him into the mud. Rain poured down on everyone interfering with their sight. Kano wiped his eyes again and looked at the pitiful figure in front of him. He shook his head and turned to Sonya.
Sonya looked sorrowfully at the sight before her. She had truly felt that she had lost and she found it increasingly hard to stay conscious. Sonya fought it because she knew if she fell asleep that she would never wake up again.
Kano walked up to her, "I'm going to kill him first to show you what I have in store for you."
Kano turned to Guile and started to charge up. Sonya knew what he was doing. Kano was charging up for a laser blast from his eye! After a few seconds Kano smiled and said, "Done. Well, Sonya watch!"
As Sonya screamed no, a blast shot from Kano's red artificial eye cutting a hole in Guile's chest. Guile spat out a mist of blood and fell over. Sonya cried as Kano turned towards her, "Well you're next."
Guile saw a light. It felt warm and inviting but he knew he had to do something. He knew that he had to go into the light but something was holding him back. Looking ahead in the light Guile saw his 5 year old son that Bison had killed. Tears went into his eyes as he ran for him.
Suddenly, he heard a scream. It was a girl. He knew who it was but couldn't put a face or name on her. He took another step towards his son when he heard the girl scream again. Sonya. Her name was Sonya! His son called out his name and held out his arms. Guile fell to his knees in despair. "I'm sorry. I can't let her die like this."
His son smiled and faded away. Suddenly, Guile was cold, and wet. He was in extreme pain and covered in blood. He looked around with groggy eyes. Kano was walking towards Sonya charging up his laser. Sonya had taken the knives out of her body to use as weapons. Guile used all the energy left in his body to charge up.
Sonya felt so weak. She could barely stay awake let alone protect herself. The blades wobbled in her hands as they suddenly became heavy. Kano laughed as he finished charging, "Well, it looks like the end my sweet. Goodbye bitch."
Sonya closed her eyes as she heard a sonic boom. She opened her eyes as Kano fell on his own army knives in her hands. Using all the strength left in her she pushed Kano off of her. He was mumbling to himself about how this wasn't possible.
A smile went across Sonya's face as she took an army knife out of Kano. "I told you I was going to kill you, you bastard." Sonya stabbed the knife down into Kano's body over and over again until he stopped breathing.
"Sonya."
Sonya swung the knives towards the voice in an effort to protect herself. Luckily, Guile stopped the knife stopped inches from his face, "That's a good way to show someone thanks for saving your life."
Sonya dropped the knives and hugged Guile with tears in her eyes, "Guile, oh Guile, I thought you were dead."
Guile didn't answer. Now that the adrenaline had stopped pumping in his blood, his pain doubled. It now hurt too much to talk. Guile looked in Sonya's tear filled eyes and forced himself to talk, "Sonya my injuries are too much, I'm going to die."
Sonya, still crying, managed a stale laugh, "Me too. I can barely speak."
Sonya's tears stopped and so did the rain. The clouds stayed as dark as night in the blood red sky. For a little while it was quiet.
Guile picked up Sonya's head and looked into her eyes, "I love you."
Sonya smiled, "I love you too Guile. I wouldn't want anyone else here beside me right now than you."
Suddenly they heard noises. The remaining soldiers of Shao Khan's army had found them! As they closed in to the injured soldiers Guile removed a hand grenade from his coat. Sonya smiled and kissed Guile long and hard.
The army ran at the soldiers at full speed and from all directions. As soon as they started attacking the couple, a hand grenade went off successfully killing most of their attackers. Bodies and blood flew everywhere in a brilliant blast.
Kain flew out to the battlefield just as the grenade had gone off. He had had to shield his body from the body parts flying in every direction. He cursed to himself as he thought aloud to himself, "Damn, if I had only been a couple of minutes earlier I could have helped them."
On the ground he saw the survivors of Shao Khan's army running towards him. Kain shook his head and yelled down to the attackers, "Your fortress has fallen, your comrades dead. Save yourselves and retreat."
Kain's answer was a fireball that nearly hit him. Kain grimaced and stuck out his hand palm up towards the soldiers, "Wide Blast!"
Kain's body glowed as Kain's hand turned white with power. A powerful blast flew from his hand that could have easily leveled a mountain. The soldiers never knew what had hit them; they were dead in mid stride.
Kain shook his head as he flew to the earth, "Idiots."
Kain looked into the red sky at the moons. The moons were overlapping but it would still take about 10 minutes before they eclipsed and Mortal Kombat would begin. Kain walked to an open space on the battlefield and started to stretch and practice. This was a fight he was going to be ready for.
Shao Khan roared with anger that was heard throughout his entire gigantic empire. As he did so the debris of the castle that was covering him shot off of him. As he yelled louder the ground he was standing on began to blast away by his pure power also. Shao Khan stood in the crater he had made just by yelling. He yelled at his elite team, "Get up you bastards, we have Mortal Kombat to prepare for!"
Suddenly four more yells were heard from the rubble completely blasting away the rubble of the castle from the battle ground. The leader of the elite, Shang Suang, spoke to Shao Khan, "We shall prepare now my emperor."
Admiral Suang turned to his team, "General Bison, Major Reptile, and our new and improved clone Ensign Blade, spar."
The new clone snarled with happiness as he was granted the order to fight. Unlike his predecessor he was made with only the most evil of blood running through his veins. "Die you bastards!" he yelled as his blades shot out of his arms.
"I think not," said General Bison as he got in fighting stance. Bison was the power house of the elite. With his immense power, he also had incredible speed and stamina. He was the most powerful earthling to ever set foot in Underworld.
Reptile powered up, "Watch out you faggotssssss, when I'm done with you there will be nothing of you to fight the earthlingssssss with."
Shao Khan yelled out to his vast empire as lightning struck the ground, "With Earth in my empire there will be no army strong enough to ever stop me. I will be invincible! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! "
Well, that is all I got of the story. When the author sends me the rest I will post it ok? I hope you enjoyed it though.
