February: WW I Naval combat, the hypothetical 1st Battle of Dogger Bank saw the Forces of the Kaiser win Sinking 1 Dreadnaught (blowing it up actually) and 2 destroyers for the loss of 2 destroyers. Photos

January: Peter Kingsman did a Napoleonic re-fight of Gettysburg with the French taking the roll of the Confederates the union was played by a Allied coalition that had Swedes, Russians and Various German states troops. Photos.

In April (the 16th) the Big Red tide rolled westward in a Modern micro-armor clash between elements of NATO and the Warsaw Pact. Rules used were home brew, run by Peter Kingsman. Photos.

In February (the 20th) we played the Hundred Years War game February "Chevauchee" or Lost in France". Jim Esler was play testing this game for HotLead 2K.
In January (the 16th) A Wild West shoot-out occurred using "The Rules With No Name" Rich Brooks ran the game with his usual iron hand.
What we did in '99
December 19th: George Wilkinson ran some Romanic gladiatorial combat. Afterwards Glenn Broome presented "The Battle Of Salamis -303 B.C." an Ancient Galley using his own Ancient Mariner rules.
November 13th &14th: Scott Cameron and some of the Stratford boys came down to run a 2-day American Civil War battle using Johnny Reb 2nd edition. Photos. Attendance was not quite as good as expected, Next year we will plan to not coincide with the Santa Claus Parade!
October 17th: Wim Oudshoorn ran a large Wars of the Roses battle using DBM.
September 19th: Jim Esler ran a DBM scenario. Then Rich Brooks ran two Old west skirmishes using "The Rules with No Name".
August 15th: "A Protector of the Realm" game, run by Wim Oudshoorn.
July 18th, Some of H G Wells "Little Wars" run by Dave Ridell and the hypothetical 1815 Battle of Paris using "Napoleon's Battles" run by Rich Brooks.

May 16th, Saw a first for us we played a Board game (Junta), there was also some miniatures played with both Wim Oudshoorn's WWI airplanes and Glenn Broome's Ancient Galleys seeing action.
April the 18th saw the largest gathering of Historical gamers yet with 15 people showing up. Nine took part in a Franco-Prussian war battle which Peter Kingsman ran using a modification of Fire and Fury, with the other 4 doing some World War I Naval combat umpired by Glenn Broome using simplified Seakrieg rules.

What we did in '98
December due to it being near Christmas and many members not in attendance several shorter games were run. First it was Ancient Mariners a galley game run by Glen Broome, and after lunch it was some time for more World War I Flying, run by Wim Oudshoorn.
November was a special two day event. Saturday saw Scott Cameron present, an American Civil War Battle using Johnny Reb (2nd edition) Photos. Sunday Rich Brooks ran "The Battle of Casa Nostra" a fictional Napoleonic battle using the Napoleon's Battles rules After action report.
In October there were a two shorter games, first up was Glenn Broome he orchestrated an ancient galley battle, followed by Cheryl Oudshoorn refereeing Escape from Colditz in 3D.
For September the 20th Peter Kingsman ran an American Civil War battle based on the first day of Gettysburg using the Fire and Fury rules set.
When August the 16th session arrived Rich Brooks ran a Napoleonic scenario (Battle of Casa Nostra) using The "Napoleon's Battles" rules set from Avalon Hill.
For July Wim Oudshoorn ran a Samurai Skirmish scenario using the "Road to Osaka" rules.
In June George Wilkinson ran an American Civil War Scenario (Cheat Mountain) using "Johnny Reb" (2nd ed.).
In May it was time for some W.W.I air combat using Avalon Hill's "Knights of the Air" rules set, modified for miniatures, Wim Oudshoorn was game master.
In April it two different time periods; George Wilkinson ran an ACW Naval Scenario, and Jim Esler ran a DBM Scenario both of these were in preparation for The HotLead '98 Miniature gaming convention.
In March it was time for a new period, therefore we did a Franco-Prussian War scenario with Peter Kingsman using modified Fire and Fury rules.
In February it was a Napoleonic scenario with Kurt Purcell using heavily modified Volley & Bayonet.
In January it was Two De Bellis Multitudinous (DBM) games run by Jim Esler and Wim Oudshoorn. Jim ran one in the ancients period and Wim's was in the late medieval period.
What we did in '97
In December it was some exciting multi-player Wars of the Roses (late medieval) game with Wim Oudshoorn using both Protector of the Realm and De Bellis Antiquitatis (DBA) rules.
In November it was an American Civil War scenario with George Wilkinson using Johnny Reb III.
In October it was more W.W.I aerial dog fighting, and some DBA.
September's game was a W.W.I aerial dogfight run by Wim Oudshoorn using modified Knights of the Air rules.
In August it was more Napoleonic action this time using Peter Kingsman's "Masse de Rupture" rules set.
In July we fought "The Battle of Fuentes des Onoro" using the "Napoleon's Battles" rules by Avalon Hill, run by Rich Brooks.
In June it was DBM 200, run by Jim Esler
Also in May while not an Official Association event, many members partook in the Final Battle of Wim Oudshoorn's King Maker PBEM campaign.
In May George Wilkinson ran a American Civil War battle using the "Johnny Reb 2nd ed." rules set.
In April a French rearguard and Austrian vanguard clashed in a Napoleonic action, using the "Masse de Rupture" rules set, run by Peter Kingsman.
In March there was a W.W.II clash of ships of the Imperial Japanese Navy and the American Navy, Using "Sea Kreig" which Wayne Aitken and James Nietzert ran.
In February we fought a multi battalion World War 2 Micro armor action using the "Spearhead" rules run by Mike Reider.
In January we Moved to our new venue, Police Headquarters where we engaged in a Wild West Shootout, using the "Six Gun Territory" rules, which Doug Scott ran.
What we did in '96
In December we held a D.B.A. tournament, due to Christmas only six players showed up to contend for the title it came down a showdown between Greg Hanbuch's Landsknetchs vs Jim Esler's Romans. Jim won to become the Champ.
In November we fought an American Civil War action at "Logan's Crossroads" run by George Wilkinson using "Johnny Reb 2nd edition". After Action Report
In October Peter Kingsman ran another American Civil War Scenario "Retreat from Gettysburg: Fairfield" again using the "Fire & Fury" rules set. After Action Report
In September we fought a Napoleonic battle, using the "Napoleon's Battles" rules set by Avalon Hill, which Rich Brooks ran.
In August we played "The Battle of Barnet", a War of the Roses scenario using "D.B.A.", which Wim Oudshoorn ran.
In July we played "Prelude to Philipi" a Roman Civil War scenario using "D.B.A.", which Jim Esler ran.
In June we played An American Civil War scenario using GDW's "Fire and Fury" rules set, which Peter Kingsman ran.
