Radical Christian Living

The following interpretation and practice of scripture is something even the author admits to failing time and time again. However, in order to truly understand what God wants, it sometimes becomes necessary to investigate the farthest limits of what is written in the Bible. Even if we don’t do it, at least we can remember it.

To be perfect, to fulfill the law, and to be ready for eternal life is to love God with all your heart, mind, soul and to love your neighbour as yourself (Matthew 22:37-40).

This is a very simple statement is the core of Christian belief. But to make it the centre of your life is very different and difficult. Jesus’ words describe a life radically different from the norm.

Let’s start with the easier part, “loving your neighbour.” After all, if you cannot love your neighbour whom you have seen, how can you love God whom you have not seen? (1 John 4:20)
