Saturday, May 29th (Day before the wedding)
9:45am -- Yoga with Suki
Notes: No cost for the session, but it's limited to 20 people, so
let me know if you're interested!
Directions to 2B Villa: Take North Shore (rt 20) to Peter
Bay gate. Go down toward water and turn left. Go to the end. There is a
sign at the top of the driveway.
3pm (meet 2:45) -- Levi's Island Tour
Notes: No cost for the tour, but if you'd like to drink something
other than water, feel free to bring it along.
Levi will pick us up in Cruz Bay; meet near the
National Park Dock at 2:45 for 3pm departure.
We'll be providing cooler of water; feel free to
bring your own if you have special preferences.
Local St. Johnian Levi Liburd is scheduled to give us a
2.5-hour tour of St. John. [If you're renting your car from L
& L, you may have already spoken with Levi]. Lori Seto of the
wedding website www.theKnot.com said
the following about Levi's tours:
"For a great overview of the island and a fast
track to some of its most interesting spots and amazing views, snag a
spot on one of Levi Liburd's safari touring trucks... Part naturalist
and part history nerd, Levi is a fun tour guide..."

5:30 pm -- Dinner Morgan's Mango --NOTE TIME CHANGE
Notes: Dutch dinner for anyone interested in hanging out the night
before. We'll be making a reservation, so let me know if you might
be interested.
Morgan's Mango is right in Cruz Bay and we'll meet there at
5:30.
They will not seat you with the group if you arrive after 6:00.
From Frommer's:
The chefs here roam the Caribbean for
tantalizing flavors, which they adapt for their ever-changing menu. The
restaurant is easy to spot, with its big canopy, the only protection
from the elements. The bar wraps around the main dining room and offers
some 30 frozen drinks. Thursday is Margarita Night, when soft music
plays. Some think the kitchen tries to do too much with the nightly
menu, but it does produce some zesty fare -- everything from Anegada
lobster cakes to a spicy Jamaican pickapepper steak. Try flying fish
served as an appetizer, followed by Haitian voodoo snapper pressed in
Cajun spices, then grilled and served with fresh fruit salsa. Equally
delectable is mahimahi in a Cruzan rum and mango sauce. The knockout
dessert is the mango-banana pie.

Sunday, May 30, Wedding Day Events!
9 am -- Ceremony
The ceremony will be held at 9 am on Cinnamon Bay Beach. Rev. Anne Marie
Porter will officiate the ceremony. We don't expect it to last more
than about 20 minutes.
The ceremony will be out on the beach, which means you WILL be walking on sand, so either
wear appropriate sand-walking shoes or plan to take them
off! Also, it is possible to get a good burn in only 20 minutes,
even at 9 am. So, please bring hats, sunblock, or whatever
works for you! Our officiant suggested that we ask our guests not
to arrive earlier than the night before the ceremony--because she has
seen so many people get burned on their first full day!
There is no
admission charge to the beach. Parking is a short walk to the
beach. We'll have signs or people directing you where to go.
Lots of folks have asked what to wear: Think COMFORTABLE and
CASUAL! I am wearing a short white linen dress and no shoes, if
that helps set the tone.
9:30 am -- Post-ceremony Treats
After the ceremony, we'll have
some treats (bagels, fruits, salads, champagne, coffee, etc) provided by
Passion Fruit Chefs. After, folks are welcome to stay, swim, snorkel, and
enjoy the morning sunshine! If not, we'll meet you at La Tapa
at 8pm.
8 pm -- Reception at La Tapa
The reception (dinner) is going to be at La Tapa. For pictures and
more information on the restaurant, click here.
The dinner is also going to be casual (getting a theme?), so wear
whatever makes you happy.
La Tapa is in one of the best restaurants, but is also right
"downtown," which means it can get a little noisy. So,
we're not planning anything other than music and dancing!

Monday, May 31
9:45am -- Yoga with Suki Part 2
Notes: No cost for the session, but it's limited to 20 people, so
let me know if you're interested!
Directions to 2B Villa: Take North Shore (rt 20) to Peter
Bay gate. Go down toward water and turn left. Go to the end. There is a
sign at the top of the driveway.
Monday, May 31 OR Thursday June 3
9:30am -- Reef Bay Trail Hike
Notes: Cost is $20 per person for boat and cab transportation;
we've reserved slots, but we need to let the Park Service know how many
of us to expect.
We
meet at the Park Service building in Cruz Bay no later than 9:30 and go
by cab to the trail head.
The hike is about 4-5 hours but only 2.2 miles
downhill. It's one of the best hikes on St.
John. It's lead by a US Park Ranger and includes discussions of
the flora/fauna and some of the ruins we'll pass along the way.
The hike is downhill, with a stop for
lunch. Then a boat pick us up when we reach the water.
We return at approximately 3pm. From the Park Service page:
The secret’s
of St. John’s tropical forest, petroglyphs and sugar mill ruins come
alive in this three-mile [2.2 actual trail] downhill hike. Participants should bring
lunch, 1-2 liters of water per person, and a swimsuit for a quick swim
at the trail’s end. Wear hiking shoes and cool, comfortable
clothing. All hikers MUST meet at the National Park Visitor Center.
