The Making of Super Mario Bros. 3

Back in 1990, Nintendo released the ultimate Nintendo game, Super Mario Bros. 3, which remains as one of the top selling video games of all time. This adventure was bigger than Mario's previous two adventures, as for he had multiple items on his side such as the ever so cool Hammer Bros. suit and the Tanooki suit, which is another raccoon suit.

{Sprites on Graph Paper, Testing the Game, Music Composer}I heard many factors about the design of Super Mario Bros. 3. The game took about 2 ½ years of hard development but the result was great. I have heard that the seven different kings of the land were based off of the actual people on the Super Mario Bros. 3 team! This factor reminds me of part of the production of Menace Beach, another Nintendo game. The whole cast of characters was based off of people from Color Dreams' place-so that is sourta cool in itself.

Super Mario Bros. 3 was released as a single game, as well as a pack in game for some Nintendo Challenge Sets, the newer releases I think. These special Super Mario Bros. 3 carts were wrapped in a special wrapping which read "Not For Resale" and "Challenge Set," I guess so stores wouldn't try to sell the carts by themselves.

{Koopaling Sketches}There were also two different box variations for the game. One box showed two screenshots from a beta version of the game, the other box replaced those screenshots with two normal screenshots.

Overall Super Mario Bros. 3 is a great game that any gamer should own. The overall game length is eight huge levels filled with many sublevels of their own. Entertaining, and a very fun game Mario 3 is.

{Sprite Sketches}Super Mario Bros. 3 took alot of time and effort to design. There are goodies loaded in this game, from hidden 1-up mushrooms to the three rumored warp whistles, this game has it all. No matter what you discover, there is always some "new" hidden mushroom locked away to be found at another time. Then there is the share glitches too, which is fun to find, as long as you aren't going for points.
