| FogJust what exactly is fog???

So you have come to one of the weirdest sections of my site. Well maybe. Well not exactly. But what is fog? How does fog relate to Nintendo in any way, shape or form? Fog is fog! Well fog is actually very low clouds in the atmosphere, usually causing a touch of mystery in the air.
We tend to think of fog being around in certain places. Take London for example. When I think of London, I think of the fog rolling in on a dark evening with clocks chiming in the background. Fog can be peaceful, but most often it is creepy. Look out at the local graveyard on a foggy night, droopy trees every which way, crows cawing. Fog is also a good use of imagery in poems, On the foggy night on the corner road, there laid a fat grumpy old toad. Fog is pretty hazardous at times too, such as with driving. Though I have never heard of a law, DUF, or Driving Under the Fog :)
Now down to the honest truth and nothing but the truth. This section (FOG) of my site should actually be entitled F.O.G., due to the fact that it is an abbreviation, an abbreviation for Famicom Only Games. Pretty nifty isn't it? Anyway, this section has in-depth info on games which were Japanese-only releases. The problem with Nintendo is that they seem to treat the world unfairly. They treat the Japanese first, then the U.S., and lastly other areas such as Europe and Australia. U.S. games tend to be inferior to Japanese games, theyar always released second, and multiple games didn't make it to western shores. I was told that FF: Mystic Quest for SNES was planned as an U.S. only release but the Japanese heard about this, got upset, complained, and therefore got a Japanese release of an U.S. exclusive game. Another example is this: Why does Japan have Super Mario Bros. 2, Doki Doki Panic, and Super Mario Bros. USA? Why? We only have Super Mario Bros. 2, the U.S. version, so why did they have to be a hog and have all three?
Then there's that neat Wild Gunman, zapper with holster boxed set released only in Japan. How does The Wild West have anything to do with Japan? I believe it was based in western America, and Mexico, am I not mistaken? Why didn't that neat boxed set make it over to the U.S.? Overall, the Japanese do seem to get more goodies than we do, but we can either laugh or cry, so I say we should laugh. Enough of my rantings and ravings, if you seriously want to see some of the cool Famicom only products, go onto FOG Page 2. You won't be disapointed.
