Some things never fail to amaze me. The way some people treat their NES games are one of these amusing things. The carts below were all found on an auction, entitled Ugly NES Carts or something to that affect. I found these games to all be undesirable, like they were found in a dumpster or something along that sorts.
The first game in this lot was a copy of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, the arcade game. This game doesn't look all too bad, the right hand corner of the cart looks like it has garbage slopped on it. That is somewhat gross, but it could probably be removed in an afternoon's time.
Following the TMNT 2 cart is a copy of Karate Kid by LJN. Man, what in the heck happened to this cart? There's a lot of black marker scribbled over the cart, it reminds me of the type of thing a two-year-old might do. And then there's that mysterious yellow stuff. What exactly is that? If I was you, I'd stay away from a cart like this at all costs even if you do have a pair of rubber gloves in your back pocket.
The mysterious yellow stuff continues as we view a not so vintage copy of Wrecking Crew. The yellow stuff plays a bigger role in this cart's grossness. The magic marker continues too, only it appears only on the right hand side of the cart. A note to whomever owned this cart originally-hire a babysitter! If this cart was found in a dumpster like I suspect, then some people have a little too much time on their hands.
Probably the best of this lot is Legend of Zelda, in the looks department anyway. There's a slight bit of yellow gook on the cart, but not too much. The cart is a little scratched up, but that can be expected. Some of my Camerica games are this scratched up, though I wouldn't buy this game if the other carts were too close to it.
The horrors continue with a Castlevania cart.(no pun intended) This is sad, Castlevania was always one of my favorite games. The casing is covered in black marker. Are you trying to make this game look rare? Just because a game is in a black case doesn't mean it's rare! Look at Tengen's Ms. Pac Man VS Namco's Ms Pac Man. My point exactly.
There you viewed it folks, the top 5 grossest Nintendo carts I have ever seen. Sometimes I wonder what those people were thinking, I'm just glad none of my carts look that bad. It's all right to look at if you want a good chuckle sometimes. Hey, I wonder if these things work?
