Raised Rose Motif
Lesson Four


Hopefully you have been practicing making the
raised petals and have decided on the colors and
design of the finished project.


  • TO REFRESH WHERE WE LEFT OFF;

  • ROUND EIGHT:

  • 1.* SC in first CH 7 loop
  • 2. HDC
  • 3. 9 DC
  • 4. HDC
  • 5.** SC
  • 6. Repeat from * - ** around
  • 7. SL ST in beginning SC.

  • RAISED PETALS COMPLETE..

  • Now we will convert the round to a square motif to finish this project.

  • ROUND NINE:

  • 1. CH (chain) 7.
  • 2.* DC in 5th DC of the next petal.


  • 3. CH 4
  • 4. DC in same loop




  • 5. CH 4
  • 6. DC between the next two petals (as shown above).
  • 7. CH 4
  • 8.**SC in 5th DC of petal
  • 9. Repeat from *-** on around
  • 10. SL ST in 3rd ST of the first CH 7

  • ROUND TEN:



  • 1. SL ST into the remaining chain 4 stitches
  • 2. CH 3 (counts as DC)
  • 3. 3 DC in same chain 4 space
  • 4. CH 1
  • CORNER:
  • 5.* 2 DC in CH 4 space
  • 6. CH 3
  • 7. 2 DC in same CH 4 space

  • 8. CH 1
  • 9. 4 DC in next CH 4 space
  • 10. CH 1
  • 11. 3 DC in next CH 4 space
  • 12. CH 1

  • ROUND ELEVEN:

  • ROUND THIRTEEN:

  • 1. CH 3
  • 2. DC in next 3 DC
  • 3.* CH 2
  • 4. 3 DC in corner loop
  • 5. CH 3
  • 6. 3 DC in same corner loop
  • 7. CH 2
  • 8. DC in each of next 4 DC's
  • 9. CH 1
  • 10. DC in each of next 3 DC's
  • 11. CH 1
  • 12. DC in each of next 3 DC's
  • 13. CH 1
  • 14.** DC in each of next 4 DC's
  • 15. Repeat from * - ** around
  • 16. SL ST in top of first CH 3
  • 17. SL ST in next DC,
  • 18. cut thread/yarn about 2 inches from hook and
    pull through the loop of the SL ST. Pull tight
  • 19. Turn Project to the back and pull yarn/thread
    end to the back
  • 20. Weave loose end into back through other
    stitches for about 1/2 inch, then cut close to
    project..REMEMBER...NO KNOTS!!!!!!!!!! WEAVE INTO
    PROJECT ANY LOOSE ENDS..........


    Next issue will be blocking the motifs and sewing
    them together nice and neatly.
