(Duncan) (Malcolm) (Donalbain) (Macbeth) (Lady Macbeth) (Banquo) (Fleance) (Macduff) (Lady Macduff) (Lennox) (Siward) (Hecate) (The Three Murderers)

I should be king, not Macbeth!

A Scottish nobleman who serves as an attendent for most of the play. He urged Macduff to bring Malcolm back from England as the rightful heir to the throne. His significance lies in his rebellion against Macbeth, demonstrating the extend of the nation's disorder under evil. Shakespeare's use of the name Lennox may have been a compliment James I, who is a decendent of an Earl of Lenox.
