Hot and sunny. Gorgeous day.
No news again. But I was up anyway, yay me. Had a quiet morning at home. I answered some email and then showered. After my shower for the first time in more than a month I used mousse on my hair. I thought that if I started itching again, I could take a quick shower and rinse it all out as I didn't have classes today. It was fine though.
I watched the second part of a movie/mini-series on the TV about a huge earthquake in California. Considering the earthquake we had here a few weeks ago, I'm not sure why, but it was sort of fun in a silly way. And it had John Schneider and Rebecca Jenkins too.
After Cold Case and then dishwashing, I went out for coffee. I really went out to get some more wrapping paper. All the stuff I have is for Christmas, and it's my niece's birthday next month. I found some at the hundred yen shop, and I got myself some things for the school as well. I needed more coffee creamer, sugar and since I was getting those decided to get more tea as well. My students are really into herbal tea. I went to Doutors after my shopping and had a hazelnut latte which was really nice. I got a call from my husband while I was sipping and reading my Reader's Digest. I told him I'd go back to the apartment soon. He was just back at his office. I picked up veggies for the stirfry. I was very "ketchi" and got a zucchini and a bag of mixed vegetables for half price each. The total of that grocery trip was less than two hundred yen.
I came home, but Fumihiko had just gotten there before me. We had a nice hello and he laughed at me. I couldn't carry the bag with the wrapping paper in my hands while I rode, so I stuck it in my backpack. It stuck out the top of the backpack. Fumihiko said that I looked like a samurai with a sword down my back!
I had a quiet evening, while Fumihiko was running around doing what I have no idea. One thing he did was go over to his mother's to deliver the dog food. When he came back, I started making dinner.
I started by slicing the zucchini and an onion, then, I cut the chicken into smaller bite size pieces. I did a basic stirfry, but it was good. I served it with some of the tofu that we had last night on the side. Fumihiko made coffee and then did the dishes afterwards. Very simple.
We then had a quiet evening at home. Fumihiko isn't doing all that well. The rainy season isn't kind to his Back. (I spelt it with a capital on purpose, that's how he talks about it!) He went to bed fairly early. I'm going to try and get to bed before 3 myself. I managed for the last couple of nights and I definitely haven't been as sleepy in the morning. The sad thing is that 3 am is an improvement for me! But tonight, I'll shoot for a little earlier!
Night night.
Oh, PS... the photo is from a few years ago when we were in Nikko. I call her Ninja Stella (aka me with a sword!)
|My blog on Blogspot. NO annoying pop-ups, and with bonus pictures too! I'm running out of space on Angelfire and will probably move the daily blog portion to Blogspot completely.
