M38 Swedish Mauser

M1938 Swedish Mauser

6.5x55

This is another intentional bastardization of a perfectly good surplus rifle. The M38 was Husquavarna made, 1941, with an unmarked bore disk. I added the Holden IronSighter scope mounts and a Simmons 3x9 scope. The height of the scope mount is such that no modification of the bolt handle or safety is needed. If you have looked at the page on my sporter M96 swede or my section on reloading the 6.5x55 then there is not much left to say. This rifle is similarly accurate, but only with the heavier bullets (120-160gr). Targets will be forthcoming.
