Douglas, Coffee County, Georgia reads "Mrs. Eleanor "Toni" Stubbs, 66, of
Douglas, Ga., died Saturday at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA.,
following a long illness. A native of Coffee County, GA., she had lived most
of her life in Douglas. She was a homemaker and a member of the First
Presbyterian Church in Douglas. Survivors include her husband Tom P. Stubbs of
Douglas, one daughter Sydney Lynne Prewett of Lincolnton, Ga., a son, Tom P.
Stubbs Jr. of Douglas; her mother Mrs. Vera Shaw of Fernandina Beach, Fla., and
grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 7, at the chapel of
Simms Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Allman officiating. Entombment
followed in the Community Mausoleum in Douglas. Active pallbearers were Ben
Vickers, O.J. McNeill, John Farley, Jimmy Kennedy, and Bobby Sinclair."
