" I, Maston Pruett of the State of Georgia and the County of Hancock, being of
sound mind and memory, do make and ordain this my last will and testament,
revoking all others. Item: I lend unto my wife Mary Pruett my tract of land
containing two hundred acres, whereon I now live, with my plantation utensils,
my household and kitchen furniture; also 3 heads of horses (to wit) one gray
mare, one bay mare, and one bay horse, together with all my stock of cattle,
hogs, and sheep, with my crop of every description during the natural life or
widowhood, and after her death or marriage, it is my will and desire that all
my property shall be sold uopn a t??? months credit, and the interest arising
therefrom it to be equally divided between my ten children: namely Russell
Pruett, Rueben Pruitt, Elisha Pruett, Henry Pruitt, Joseph Pruitt, Rachael
Pruitt, Seleta Pruett, Polly Pruett, and David Pruett; but it is understood
than in the consequence on the lameness of my daughter Sally, it is my will
that she should have 100 dollars over and above her proportional part when my
estate may be sold as aforesaid. It is my will and desire that my gray stud
colt ??????????t on until he is four or five years old and then sold upon a
credit and the money arising from such a sale when collected is to be subject
to an equal division among my children as above mentioned and those who may be
of age at that time to receive their proportional parts, and so on as the rest
may become of age. Lastly, I constitute and appoint my wife Mary Pruett
Executrix and my sons Russell Pruett and Reuben Pruett my Executors of this my
