South Carolina, on the road to Honea Path, South Carolina. In 1838, the heirs
of Dudley sold this land.On February 11 1799 Dudley Pruitt of Ninety Six District sold 150 acres on
Tyger River to Absolom Posey for 40 pounds. This was part of a tract
originally granted 9 June 1775. Witnessed by: Walter Thomson, Sarah Pruit, Sr.
and Sarah Pruit, Jr.He was listed on the 1800 census of Pendleton District, South Carolina.
The will of Dudley PRUITT was written in Pendleton District, South Carolina,
on 30 Oct 1794, and was probated in Edgefield District, SC, on 26 Apr 1803.On 27 Dec 1838 the heirs of Dudley PRUITT sold the 311 acres on Hen Coop Creek,
SC. Signing the deed were Austin PREWIT, Dudley PREWIT, Stephen BENNETT,
Micajah PREWIT, John PREWIT, and Elizabeth PIERSON.

daughters. He was a licensed minister of the Christian Church and had large

Served in Company H 16th South Carolina volunteers during the Civil War.
