The Shows.
Well
at least now all was sorted out, I was on the road ! My attention turned to the
local Car shows, so on very short notice, (Like the Day Before !) my boyfriend knocked up a Show board,
stands, poles and ropes . The bases were Ford disks (see told you there was a use
for Fords) with pine poles . These were all covered in the same Black carpet as
that used in the boot, and were finished about 2 hours before I was due to
attend my first show . (Although the disks and Show-board were fully finished in
time for the second Show) . My Boyfriend managed to get in a couple of hours sleep
before I woke him up while I and the kids loaded up the car . Of course it was raining, so
on the way I purchased
a Blue tarp to lay on the ground under the Gemini (I thought it was a nice
contrast to the Yellow paint) and hit the show . I never won anything at the
first Show, but walking around and talking to some of the other Girls who had
cars entered, I learned what points were awarded for what and where . I went out
and purchased a First Aid kit, Tool kit, some clamps to neaten up some of the
wiring and my Boyfriend converted a Safety Triangle from a Tractor and fitted it
to the underside of the boot lid . These were the extra points I needed, so I was
on my way to a Trophy or two . Also I had on my little (Temp) show sign, that my
Boyfriend had built the car for me, hehehe did a lot of boyfriends / husbands
get a smack in the back of the heads from their better halves when they read
that !

Showing after the rebuild, Willowbank Raceway, and in typical Gemini tradition,
It Rained !

Never hurt anyone, at least it sorts most Street Drivens from the Trailer
Jockeys ! Mind you, I did close the doors and boot when it changed from shower to
downpour .

The Car
Stands were knocked up the night before the show, Brian finished them at around
5am .

Parking Only' Right weather for it anyway and My first Indoor show at Toowoomba

At least it didn't matter if it rained .

Willowbank
Raceway is a cool spot for Car clubs to hold their Shows, plus you can race
afterwards !

My Show
Stand may not have been the flashest around, but it was effective enough to keep
most people out . Willowbank Raceway, at this Show I actually had around 25 seconds of
fame, with footage in a video made especially for the Event . Cool .

And yet
another Willowbank Show, and the infamous 'Drop Tank' that kept us so amused .
